Food was ok, the conference room acceptable. However, a bit old fashioned. The ante-room to the conference room was very small and claustrophobic. View is ok, but directly on one of the busiest streets of Sibiu.

My experience with this hotel was wonderful. They have fulfilled all my requests. It was really a pleasure to stay here. Everybody was kind and smiling and the room was clean and cozy. Thank you! :)

An important advantage of the hotel is its location. It is very close to the historical center of the city which is the main sights.
It is clean, with spacious rooms and renovated relatively recently. There is a guarded parking area in front of the hotel. Breakfast is excellent.

From 02.08. until 09.08.2017 I stayed in the hotel "Continental" in Sibiu. I knew the house from even earlier times when it was still called "Bulevard". Due to its central city location, it is well suited for a visit to the medieval town center in Sibiu.
Unfortunately, I got a room to the street, which was very loud. However, it was friendly and promptly given to my request the next morning a very good quiet room to the courtyard, completely unbureaucratic, very friendly by the ladies at the front desk, who spoke good English. The breakfast was OK. It was all there to fill you up and a 4 star hotel, plus a good long breakfast time from 06:30 h to 10:30 h. The room cleaning service was also complaint, reliable, friendly. All in all, this house, even for "western" standards, deserves a good mark which I hereby forgive. Next time I will return there.

This hotel is located centrally, right near the start of the pietonal alley of Sibiu. So from there you should start discover the wonders of the old city.

So, in my experience with this hotel, the towels were clean, the bathroom as well, there were present all the soaps and creams and shampoos one might need (good welcome kit). The room was tidy and nicely decorated.
The front desck is always smiling (10 points from me for that) and very helpful and suportive.
There is a parking just in front of the hotel but please mind the lot you are using (it should be marked as pertaining to the hotel). It costs around 8 euro per night stay.

At the ground floor there is a restaurant used for breakfast in the morning but after that becomes a normal restaurant you can order from the menu - I have not tried it yet.

We stayed for one night. Clean rooms and comfy beds with pleasant staff. Parking cost 40 lei and they were generous with how long we could keep the car parked during our last day. Perfectly situated for the old town and easy to find driving in from the south.

The hotel looks good on the outside. The bed is very uncomfortable, the mattress is cheap, the blanket is narrow, you can barely wrap yourself in it, the pillows are under any criticism, and the air conditioning is noisy (you can't sleep with it on)

The power was turned on 4 times while I was in the room

The bathroom is clean and looks good, rich breakfast

The ugly, parking receptionist, not to mention, but this is a Romanian meteahna, not necessarily specific only to this hotel

The revolving door at the entrance is not motorized (or at least the engine does not work) and must be pushed by hand, uncomfortable when you have luggage, especially since you need strength, not a joke, it is massive.

Unpleasant experience!

Unpleasant experience!
Pluses:
clean in the rooms and in the hotel,
The position in the center is a plus.
Heat in the rooms.
Breakfast ok nothing great. Cons:
without balcony,
extremely small dark room,
paid parking,
Miss brunette from the insensitive and arrogant reception.
I asked for a room in the center, I received a room in a courtyard.

I'm a person in a wheelchair. When I arrived at the hotel in the evening, an individual came and asked me in a rude tone why I parked in the handicapped places. I told him I had a reservation and that I was in a wheelchair. He shook his hand and turned his back on me, still bodoganing. But I can't put exactly in words the attitude of this guard / goalkeeper. I drove out of the hotel parking lot and parked in one of the city's parking lots (not the hotel's). I went to the hotel reception and told the receptionist what had happened and that I had never encountered such an attitude at any hotel as at the Continental Hotel. I asked to speak to the hotel manager, but I was told he could not be disturbed. I told them I didn't want to stay in such a hotel anymore. I asked the receptionist if it was normal for the hotel staff to behave like the caretaker / caretaker of the parking lot, but he avoided saying anything about that guard.
May God give them according to soul and deeds.
I left there and stayed at the Parc hotel where everything was OK.

Let's start with parking. Try to arrive early, because not all parking in front of the hotel is reserved for it. But it is the only impediment, because otherwise everything is superlative. The courtesy of staff at the reception, the cleanliness of the rooms, the furnishing with everything, breakfast. The hotel staff does everything you need to feel at home. And its location a few meters from the pedestrian and historic city center makes all the money.

Now listen, probably this is high praise as we had a family event and treated ourselves to their presidential suite. :) amazing stay.
Huge (huuuge) and hyper comfortable apartment. Staff was really getting out of their way to make us comfortable. 2m from historical city centre, private parking.
Be president for a day :) 1 huge bedroom, 1 bedroom, 2 baths, jacuzzi, lounge area, huge tv relaxation area, dining area, full kitchen - this apartment is alone across their entire 4th floor.

Bathrooms with glass walls are not in my taste, and in Hotel Continental are of both types. Due to the high occupancy, there were no rooms with bathrooms that are not glass, and the staff was very nice to upgrade to an apartment at no extra cost. We received recommendations for restaurants and pubs, exactly to our liking. This is a +4 star service. Thank you

The rooms are modernly renovated, the hotel's location is right in the center of Sibiu. You are offered a private parking space in front.
There are 2 alternative rooms (I stayed on the 4th floor out of 5): towards the mountain, straight center (it was annoying at night although there are double glazed windows, but they turned off the air conditioning that had worked all day) or on the back.
I would have preferred the back because it was a quiet and shady alley, because we chose the camera on the face (the view with the mountain is insignificant) and the heat tormented us all night.
Extremely friendly, jumpy and professional staff.

Centrally located. Bus parking directly in front of the hotel costs 70 per night (more like a room) .This is outrageous! Rooms are small with open bathroom. Air conditioning in the room. Breakfast buffet is ok.

Although we are in full pandemic, the rooms are not cleaned at all. In their policy they say that for 72 hours no one stays in the room but it is just a lie. The previous one broke down in the morning. I know this because when I came the room was not ready and when I finally entered the room a maid came after me to complete the minibar after the previous client. When I told them at the reception to tell me when the last person was in the room, they said they didn't know, that they couldn't see the system.

Externally very elegant hotel.

Externally very elegant hotel.
We decide to enter, we ask to stay at their hotel and they say they are almost full,
The receptionist proposes a single room with a French bed so small that the bathroom was practically attached to it.
Bathroom without a door, but easy to use thanks to the possibility that if you were wrong to get out of the bed you were already inside it.
Receptionist decides to propose this room for the price of double .. UNACCEPTABLE ..
we obviously left!

Very poor service experience. We booked a room for 2 adults with 2 children. At the reception they saw the watcher listing it but argued that booking for a room for 2 adults only is what is listed on the computer and that there are no rooms available at the hotel. They didn't even offer a paid bed (something that we would pay if we knew we could book). Bottom line is that one of the adults slept on the floor that night. Net chutzpah.
