Hotel Casino Van der Valk Sassenheim Review

Very nice and clean Hotel next to a casino. Access with public transportation is possible but you have to walk more than 1km. Following this, a car is needed for convenience.

Stay often at this hotel. Great staff always happy to help.

We have not been sleeping here, but have been eating. The all inn concept. What a wonderful relaxed evening, with good food and what I particularly liked is that the bottles of wine and water were just on the table. You had to get a soft drink and furthermore a dinner of all kinds of food of excellent quality. What struck me was that it was not such a food shed (if I may say so) but a cozy atmosphere with small and larger tables, but not so big. I personally don't like that very much. It felt good.

I spent 3 pleasant nights at Van der Valk Hotel Sassenheim-Leiden. A large, clean, stylishly furnished room with balcony and effective air conditioning, a wonderful shower, an excellent breakfast, always friendly staff, free parking and the convenient location between Haarlem / Amsterdam and The Hague / Rotterdam have contributed to this. Leiden is also a beautiful city that you should definitely visit. If you want to leave your car, can be found in 10-15 minutes walk to a bus and railway station, from which you can take the public transport in the aforementioned places and also comfortably to Noordwijk. There is also a supermarket and a McDonald's there.

Dinner could be better. Risotto rice is plain rice and undercooked. Service did not know that there is a spoon and a fork with this dish. There was a knife and fork. Nice service but 2 dishes that were vegetarian.

Together with our grandchildren we enjoyed the "Live cooking". Extensive range of dishes and you do not have to worry about the children, because they can go their own way.

Beautifully decorated hotel with reasonable service. It is better to skip the live cooking buffet. Quality is very poor and choice is disappointing. The average snack bar offers the same assortment but prepared a la carte. For 35 you cannot expect much but even that could not be met. Simply eat a la carte and you get good value for money and walk around this location with a big bow

Last weekend we had a conference with a large group of doctors and families at van der Valk. We are so hospitably received! Nothing was too much, we were really pampered. Every request was handled immediately. Partly thanks to the fine accommodation with good climate control (it was 30 degrees outside) and the high service level, the congress has become such a success.

Last Friday I went to Ozzo for the 4th time. The first 3 times (for the renovation, which does not benefit the atmosphere and acoustics) it was great. Last Friday very substandard. Dirty plates and glasses and the food was also disappointing (unripe avocado in the sushi, far too well-cooked duck breast, soggy fried fish, half-cold chicken skewers, etc etc. And a bowl of fries with the main course .... At a Japanese restaurant? ! Well what should I say about that) And if we then give well-intentioned and friendly feedback that we thought it was a little disappointing, nothing will be done with this, no apologies or whatever. If you consider that Ozzo is also quite pricey, I find it really incomprehensible. It is a great pity that we were happy to come here, but I am not going here anymore.

Very nice hotel in the city of Leiden, between Amsterdam and Hague. City of Leiden is hometown of the oldest University in Holland established in the year 1575. Leiden is the town where famous Holland painter Rembrant was born.

Great restaurant! If you book a slightly older room, which is absolutely fine, big and beautiful, you have a complete bathroom. In the newer rooms, very chic (photos), the bathroom design is very modern and the toilet only has a sliding glass door that closes tightly. Everything else perfect!

This is the best Van der Valk to eat. Nice dishes. Very tasty. Made with great attention and therefore highly recommended. Worth a visit!
