It is the best hotel I stayed at. The room is really comfortable and the cleanliness is impeccable. The friendliness of the Captain team is amazing. It eats very well in the restaurant. The breakfast is very complete. They think of all the details: they give towels for the beach, blankets to throw them in the sand, games for children and body board without charge. They also have surf lessons with a highly recommended instructor. They have a library where you can get the amount of books you like. I loved the place. It is pure nature and very calm.

After our round trip, we were really looking forward to the bathing extension at the Hotel Capitan Suizo, because the trip to Costa Rica was a honeymoon. It is a beautiful complex with very friendly staff, it is not far to the beach, the food is great, the fish / seafood is particularly recommended for dinner. The rooms are nice and clean. We felt very comfortable and can highly recommend the hotel. Sometimes you can see a group of monkeys in the garden, Costa Rica live

The hotel Capitan Suizo is definitely recommended. In our three-week Costa Rica trip with about 10 hotels, the Capitan Suizo was the best hotel (though not the most expensive). The welcome at the front desk was friendly, the room was large, nice and clean, the tropical garden with pool and direct access to the Pacific fantastic! The staff were very courteous. The WLAN worked moderately well and broke off repeatedly. The breakfast was stunning: lots of fresh fruit, typical Costa Rican food, pancakes and even European-Swiss pastries. The restaurant offered in the evening very delicious, partly Mediterranean food at moderate prices. From my point of view, one could offer more country typical here. The service in the evening was nice, but too arbitrary in our case. We reserved a special table three hours in advance. At the agreed time exactly this table was however assigned to other hotel guests. The waiter justified himself, that he wanted to put us at 'his' favorite table and therefore had deliberately forgiven the table we wanted to others. In addition, there were discussions about the happy hour at the bar. Apparently, beers and long drinks in the happy hour "2 for 1" included, we were told. The long drink we ordered was not included, which was discussed later. This was followed by a strenuous discussion.
Despite these and other little things I found the hotel great. However, there is a need for improvement in the hotel.

Absolutely amazing, service is outstanding.! the food is excellent our room was unbelievable. The people are so friendly. If you were learning Spanish the people are very willing to speak Spanish with you and are very helpful.
When I first started going to Costa Rica fifteen years ago, the old timers would say, You should have seen it when But in all the years that I have been staying at the Hotel Capitan Suizo in Tamarindo, I would truthfully say that it is at its best right now. It s winning of the Conde Nast Award for best hotel in Central America this year validates my opinion. The hotel has always had the best piece of property on the bay, with a magnificent view of the water, and far enough from downtown to be quite peaceful, but over the years the hotel has aged like fine wine, and the rooms, grounds, restaurant and staff has gotten better and better. The rooms are large and comfortable, and the beds are excellent. The garden is more beautiful and is filled with flowers plants and trees. It looks wild but the large garden staff is testimony to the hotel s dedication to its upkeep. In fact, one of the missions and prides of the hotel are their initiative supporting the local ecology and sustainability. The garden is often filled with visiting wildlife including howler monkeys, which is delightful. The restaurant has become first class over the years and starting your day with their breakfast buffet (eggs, sausage, breads, fruits, cereals ) is a delight. Their dinner menu has also become more luxurious, and they now have entertainment several days of the week. The staff is the heart and soul of this hotel. Much of the staff has been at the hotel for all the years I have been coming as a guest. They are amazing and they have both my love and respect. Thank you Sonia, Helen, Urs, Diego, Erik, Mari, Max, Odeth, Rosa, Naty, Adimar, Angel, Manu, Coopertino and all of the rest of the team! I ll see you again, soon!
