On arrival there is a part of the hotel in the racks. And it was not just a country house like in the photo, but a sleek building that was built next door. The receptionist was not in the mood either. After all the allowances we were also allowed to pay tourist allowance. Room was not cozy. Few lamps did not work. And the floor stuck in some places. Curtain had a dirty brown spot, I don't think it had time to hang clean. Bed was fine. Dinner was mediocre. Mixed grill was not top meat, burger was delicious. Breakfast was great. Swimming pool looked cloudy unfortunately. And as a topper, no fridge. Too bad, we regularly go to hotels but this was our worst experience. Fletcher, we expected more than this. Immediately after breakfast our things packed. Greetings

Hotel appearance is nice but service is poor. Been here to "enjoy" a 2-day veluwe pampering package. The staff of the bar, restaurant and hotel did not know the package and had to inquire about it every time. A lady in the bar was grumpy and we were not made to feel welcome here. The 5-course dinner was just okay. When checking out, the lady spoke so loudly (and the hall echoes) that everyone in the queue before checking out can get all the details from others. Not so professional, but at least she was cheerful. The room was good, but I expected something different from a deluxe room. The room contains an instruction sheet with Covid-19 measures, but the text is not complete. It stops halfway through a sentence and information is also missing. The package would also include a welcome package with cycling and walking routes. We never received this. At the entrance we found a sheet of walking routes, but they started a few kilometers away. You can also enter the forest (along the cemetery) on the other side of the road for very nice walks.

I'm not likely to say it, but the family dinner at Fletcher in Ellecom tonight was really shamefully bad ... We were 21 people, but the restaurant clearly cannot handle this. Because we are with two young children and an 89 year old lady, we agreed on time. At 5 p.m. we sat down to dinner and at 7:45 p.m. I unfortunately went home with my son and husband without dessert, because it really took too long ...

A selection of what went wrong, I cannot name everything.

* Waiting for more than 5 minutes for a starter (while we had a choice of 3 cold dishes and a soup, which can largely be prepared from mise en place).
* Staff who complain out loud about being tired and therefore taking longer to get drinks in or out.
* Exceptions and allergies that have been communicated well in advance appear not to have arrived in the kitchen.
* I got my main course at least 15 minutes later, so when everyone had already eaten. Even worse is the fact that I had to ask about this myself twice, plus I had to tell me that an excuse would be appropriate (!!).
* Garnish only came when I almost finished eating.
* From the rest I understood that the dessert - again an hour later - was reserved while the table had not yet been removed from the main course.
* Lack of professionalism when approaching guests (!).

The organizer of this dinner has gone above and beyond to organize this - perhaps the last dinner with grandma - and that it turns out like this is really annoying. It also seems as if the employees involved feel little or no responsibility for this state of affairs. Sad...

A suitable solution and sincere apologies would be in order to begin with ...

Stayed at this hotel from 9 February 12 during Bridge Weekend. 5 years ago stayed at this hotel and can only conclude that the quality has deteriorated since it was a Fletcher hotel. Both curtains and drapes hanging loose for part in double dusk light above bed was but one lamp, bedside cabinets and baseboards paintless, missing small towels: too little attention to such matters, and not a 4 star worthy. At starter dinner requested extra bread, but that was not possible. Very stupid: what does bread cost compared to customer friendliness? Never again to this hotel, which is a shame, because the location is beautiful.

Ettrooms and bat very cozy, outbuilding does not really fit in the whole. The rooms are very outdated, lamps disappear and spots disappear in the ceiling .. the pool is nice and very spacious. Also equipped with a flow jet to swim against.
Very friendly staff, shame about the rooms.

Nice hotel on the eye, nice location.
Beds were really useless, considered going home at night.
Food is also not special with our package
All in all ... mediocre. Had higher expectations

Very nice hotel, although the matrasses in the two-bed room were actually two seperate ones, causing the bed to sort of 'split' overnight. The food and service where great though, as was the room itself, so ultimately the beds were only a minor inconvenience.

Beautiful location, great breakfast buffet. There are walking and cycling routes that can be taken for free. Beds are comfortable. Only downside is that the doors of the rooms slam shut hard. That means popping of doors every minute in the morning and that doesn't sleep very well.

I can say that we have experience with New Year's ...

I can say that we have experience with New Year's Eve packages, this year for the first time in a Fletcher hotel, Avegoor. Here is a summary of facts:
room much too hot; WiFi did not work; 1 lamp defective; faucet of sink fearfully loose; toilet seat at a child's height; TV quality less than analog + wrong image format; on New Year's Eve
In the bar TV on Eurosport ski jumping !!!!!!!!!.
These are all points that you can say do not complain about.
The buffet.
Carpaccio seen little of it (was on)
Pasta salads undefinable what exactly was in it
Salads on trays no idea meat or fish or neither.
Salmon only seen the bones others were ahead of us.
Shrimp glasses were gone right though not replenished.
WARM:
Big mountain of rice; bake with vegetable mix! Not seen chicken or beef
Pressed ham sliced in a sauce
Pork tenderloin very dry despite the sauce and unbelievable meatballs in sauce really New Year's Eve.
All this was clearly reheated and certainly not FRESH prepared.
DRESS
Long queue so ice was not melted on a cold plateau
pasta salads etc. not cleared yet
TIP
Divide the buffet over two sides and put plates with what is e.e.a.
Then as a highlight THE NEW YEAR'S PARTY is not.
The otherwise good playing BAND persisted in "good music" so no one on the dance floor no atmosphere or mood
the people went to the bar (ski jumping on tv) so no atmosphere either. showing many people to their room.
TIP. 1 time a nice tune and the PARTY CRACKS.
At the stroke of twelve, the few people present started to countdown themselves. The BAND stoically played their music through the twelve hours !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Whose deed. This tire is totally unsuitable for a PARTY EVENING.
For the price of this package we had the FLETCHER
GROUP expected something better.
Usually a SILVESTER continues until the early hours
this evening we were in bed early with a TOM-CAT
it was certainly not because of too much liquor.

Get well soon Peter van der Hoogt

I went there to eat through a Social Deal. Afterwards I thought I only had to pay for the drinks, but that was not the case. There was 5.00 per person on the bill for restaurant surcharge. At home I called Avegoor and I was told that I should discuss it with Social Deal. Social Deal has called Avegoor about this and got the story that I would not have booked through the site of Social Deal and that it is normal that you get a surcharge for a star restaurant. Social Deal then looked with me in my history that is known to them and concluded that I did indeed book through the Social Deal site. Avegoor has therefore sucked something out of the thumb about this story. It is a shame that Avegoor deals with this "small" issue. They do not understand how to deal with potential customers ..... Social Deal eventually refunded the amount and deserves a compliment !! Excellent service and friendly employees.

Nice hotel that looks better on the outside than the rooms. The hotel section is actually separate from the restaurant and is somewhat dated. Very clean, but the beds are very soft (matter of taste). Breakfast is very extensive with delicious coffee. Another plus is the indoor swimming pool and sauna that is open until 11 p.m.

The website of the hotel made a good impression and the main building looked very nice and modern. Restaurant and breakfast room made a good impression. The rooms are unfortunately located in the annexe, our on the 3rd floor. The elevator was broken during the whole stay. The room was not very clean, in the bathroom were foxing. The capsule machine had not been cleaned for a long time. Overall, the rooms made a loveless impression.

We ate there. Starter was not reserved simultaneously. Had to wait a long time for the main course to be reserved. Too bad that the excuse was that the kitchen staff was not sufficient and it was very busy.
Offering drink was below par. Dessert was good and that made the rest somewhat acceptable.
Price quality is insufficient.

Faded glory .. beautiful location, but not well maintained. Rooms are clean but very outdated with rotten window frames and broken bathroom door. Really in need of a makeover. The room, broken plugs so you had open wiring, and this in a family room where small children also sleep. Badly cleaned, bathroom very outdated and tiling with many large cracks. Screens that did not work, screens that were broken. A towel that was wet on the bed when we arrived. And so I can go on for a while, and that for an amount of 260.00 for 1 night !

Hotel was fine only the dinner we experienced as very unpleasant. First of all, my partner only got a drink and I still don't have it after half an hour. We had to ask for the menu ourselves. Main course was not what we ordered and there could be no sorry or anything. We have to ask ourselves if we were given a main course at all. After that there were 4 people from the ministry who were looking around, nobody clearing our table or taking another drink in those two hours. Then leaving the third course because we really couldn't speak, we got the wrong bill. Then we ordered another dessert in the room where we did not receive any cutlery. All in all we were not satisfied with the service and we will not go to 1 of the Fletcher hotels again. Also do not understand where those 4 stars come from and find it really inconceivable that we had to pay a supplement for 4 stars. Service was far away.

The promise of a 4 star hotel....

I would give it 2 maybe 3 star rating.
No welcome.
The room felt dirty with stains on the walls, old feel and somewhat cracked sink.

The food in the restaurant was shocking. Steak was cold, tough, poorly seasoned, and to add insult to injury there was one portion of fries between 2.

This was the worse quality meal we have have had in arguably the last 10 years. All in the period when one would think that the restaurant business would be falling over them to provide a great product to get returners.

On arrival we were already surprised that the "castle" in the pictures is recorded differently than it really is. There is a large square building next to it where most of the rooms are. We thought we had a nice room in the "castle" we were in that square annex. Disappointed to go to the room upon entering the feeling was not more positive. Room was not completely clean and those retarded brown stink pillows on bed did not make it better. After dinner (outside the door) we thought to have a drink in the bar. Because we wanted to watch the European Championship match we had to take a seat at the bar. The TV had its best time (picture was poor) and the bar smelled as if it had not been cleaned properly for some time. plus point was that we could still order some food 45 minutes after closing the kitchen. At check out said that our expectation was not the same as the reality. We were told that Madam had the same thing when she first went to work.

Quietly situated in a green retreat, reception was friendly and included a complimentary drink. We booked a friday retreat with our dog accompanying us. 1 dinner included on the day of arrival, 2 nights including breakfast. Spacious room. Bicycles available for rent. Hotel has a swimming pool and sauna, free use for guests. Look forward to our stay.

Room neat and clean. Breakfast and dinner were fine. Sauna and swimming pool clean. Not everything is super new, but it is clean and maintained. But what made the stay more than excellent for me was the service from the staff. They are helpful and friendly and make that little bit more of your stay.

We had room 302. Comfort room with balcony. There were many brown stains in the floor covering. We reported it and asked for a different room. They said there wasn't. Again asked for another room that they didn't have. They said. At 10 p.m. we went again afterwards and said that we would submit a complaint and then it was possible. Why have to ask 3 times and threaten with an official complaint and then you can.

The problem is that the restaurant is no better or worse than restaurants in the vicinity. But if you can avoid it, I would definitely do it. Staff is very incompetent .. even when our bill was wrong twice (to our disadvantage) we could not be sorry but we got a whole story about a poor IT department.

Absolutely unworthy of stars. Moisture spots in the wall causing the plaster to come down. Dirty (brown circles drenched mattress). bathroom floor full of dirty stains. Mediocre food. We spent New Years there, but the hotel was clearly not equipped for this. Dinner at 5.30 pm buffet style. So at 6.30 pm
everyone had done and there was nothing to do !! Only people came back together at 10 pm in the bar but it was far too small for this. The waiter in the bar apparently found it amusing that the guests themselves went to get chairs or tables. While the guests were dragging themselves he did everything he could to provide the drinks as slowly as possible. In short, a very bad bartender who was clearly "working" against his liking.

Location is fantastic but the hotel rooms are in serious need of a renovation. A shame about the current state, because old photos from Google show Fletcher had very nice creative rooms. Why not anymore?
Due to the bad reviews about the restaurant, we went for certainty.
Restaurant De Ruif is an absolute must! Heuvenseweg 6, Rheden. (5 km away) Again delicious food and drink for a nice menu price.

Room with a 4 * surcharge of 10 was above an entrance door to the outside that can only be closed with a strong blow. Ditto for the doors in the corridor. One bang after the other from about 7 a.m. So don't sleep late. Worn plastic leather from bed. Half of the room is occupied by a strange lounge combination on which you cannot sit and I stumbled over at night when the window was closed. 1st day bed made messy. 2nd day similarly but now the too tight bottom sheet is not straightened so that you lay directly on the mattress. The long pile carpet was not vacuumed under the bed. Found there receipts from predecessors. Breakfast too bad for what it costs. Dinner not really of quality. Operation not professional. Tip: have dinner at a 20-minute walk at the Wapen van Athlone in De Steegh. Top, top, top! But a little more expensive but many times better and more atmospheric. 1 day before the 2 nights reserved long in advance, I received an email that the pool would be renovated that period. The possibility was offered to cancel the reservation ......

Spent 2 nights in 4 fletcher.

Spent 2 nights in 4 fletcher.
With room 223 we had, despite a bit of shivering in advance because of many reviews that spoke of small stuffy rooms, a very neat refurbished room with everything on and on. Yes, there are some things that require attention, but oh well.
3 star rating really depends on the policy and the dinner.
The policy is aimed at making as much money as possible from the customers, ok, without doing anything for it.
The voucher costs 35 , + weekend surcharge + 4 surcharge, some handling costs and taxes + breakfast, not being able to make the choice for all hotels at that time.
All in all, you spend more money than the same booking via booking.com, for example.
Dinner was actually too expensive for what was delivered. 92 euros of which we were served 2 glasses of wine and minus fries that were not brought.
Then a lot for mini club duck breast, old goose leg, poetry beef, salty mash and a little bit of salad.
On the 2nd evening it became a fries in Arnhem because all restaurants were closed.
It was the 2nd time at fletcher that the dinner was executed in a chic and elegant way, but too little on the plate and too little taste.
So much for Fletcher hotels

Cold atmosphere, both the appearance and the whole as the rooms. More pretensions than one can realize (hotel apparently wants to have quite a chic look, but the breakfast was overgrown, there was a nasty smell in the bathroom and the shower did not get warm) . Great contrast with Fletcher Val Monte where we were the night before, fewer pretensions but a warm atmosphere, pleasant ambiance and everything was well taken care of.
