This seemed a bit over hyped on Google but I gave it the benefit of the doubt. I'm so glad I did. The Moulten Lava Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream and toffee was unbelievably good. Shop was super clean and the staff was awesome. 5/5, I will be back someday. Wish I had one close to home.
Really tasty lava cakes that are a fun outing worth the trip! They re pricy at about $12 a lava cake, but they re incredibly rich and beautifully presented. Two people can easily share one and walk out happy. And they do fabulous boozy milkshakes to match. Super fun for a date or nightcap.

I want to start off with the positive things about my first-time visit. We got there 10 minutes before they opened and were the 2nd goup of customers. The establishment was very clean, nicely decorated, and organized. The employee at the register was welcoming and friendly. We ordered 3 things so that we could try each other's food. I ordered the strawberry cake with a latte, my wife ordered a bread pudding, and our friend ordered the dark decadence. The prices seemed high, but we had heard so many good things about the place so we decided to give them a try. My coffee came out first and I really liked it. It had good flavor and latte art. While we were sitting down waiting for our order, I noticed a strong "burnt" smell. I looked around but didn't see any smoke so I figured whatever it was had been taken care of. Our food finally came out after 10 minutes or so, which was a good amount of time in my opinion. I took a bite of my Strawberry Cake and loved it. I would rate it 4 out of 5. The ice cream that it came with was delicious! I then tried my wife's bread pudding and, uh oh, that's where the burnt smell came from. I don't know if it was supposed to taste burnt, but it was not enjoyable at all. She couldn't finish it and I ended up eating it just because I didn't want my money to go to waste. I couldn't visually see anything burnt, so that's why I was hesitant to say anything. I could only taste it, and it was strong. We definitely wouldn't order that again. I also tried our friend's dark decadence, and it was good, but there was something wrong with the texture and/or flavor. It just didn't feel right. The flavor was good, but I think the best part was the ice cream (which isn't theirs). I felt a little frustrated that we had spent so much money on a place that is so hyped up, only to be disappointed in certain things. Would I come back? Yeah, I'd like to give them one more try if I'm ever in Seattle. The place was nice, the coffee was good, the ice cream was yummy, and my Strawberry Cake was good. Would I recommend this place to a potential first time customer? Yes, but my advice would be to try ONE thing. Don't spend a lot of money until you're sure you like it. I would also say that it's not as crazy good as people are hyping it up. The aesthetic of their products and their store is Instagram worthy, and I think that's why people rave about it.
It's a nice dessert place in capital hill area. Their molten cake with ice cream desserts are super awesome also the booze shakes are wonderful.They have wonderful staff, and quick service but expect 15-20 min wait time on weekend evenings before ordering or getting seats.

I had brownie molten cake and it was really great. Perfect sweetness level for someone who likes dark chocolate . Loved the place.
While visiting Seattle, we went to Hot Cakes on Olive street. I enjoyed the gluten free chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream and caramel/chocolate sauce! My boyfriend had the Cafe Mocha. Everything was delicious!!
It was one of the best desserts I had in Seattle. We ordered the Dark decadence molten lava and a vanilla shake. Worthy to mention, the shake was not filled with overwhelming amounts of crushed ice like other places do and had the perfect amount of sweetness to it.
