Hostel 7 IIT Bombay Review

I lived here. This is the place which I call a second home.

The hostel has been vacated and will be demolished soon.

Very nice location just besides lake. Great access to buses and autos as compared to other hostels. A lively hostel.

The rooms are a major problem as they are quite small but it is the norm in the institute.

The food is amongst the best, canteen is good and the bathrooms are in fantastic condition unlike other hostels.

Lived here two years already, one of the best messes in the institute.

It's a boy's hostel at IITB; the rooms are usually cramped but the environment is quite nice. Lots of ways to have fun here.

Stayed here for Techfest 2016 ....Clean,spacious corridors an ancient essence in the building structure. The food is excellent ,wonderful mess food the finest cleanest and Hygienic.

Not good enough as compared to other hostels of IITB

This hostel is situated at really amazing place, a few feets near to Powai lake. You can witness a very beautiful view of Powai lake. you can also get fresh air inside the rooms from the Powai lake. Interestingly the separate wings have specific names such as La La Land, Baker Street, Winterfell, Cryffindor, Avengers etc. When you see these name baords while walking through the corodor of this hostel, you should feel some nostalgic feeling.

Known as "lady of the lake". Coz it's near the lake so mosquitoes haunted place.

One of the oldest hostel in IIT Bombay. You will find it as your second home.

The lady of the lake is one of the better hostels for its culture.

The hostel mess is very good so is its lounge and other facilities. Rooms are very small.

The place where a boy goes to become a man to face world. Love the place as it gave everything that is required to become successful.

The lady of the lake! I stayed in this hostel for 1 year. Nice place. Mess food is one of the best in the campus.

This is old hostel that's the room are small... But other facilities are good...and toilets are clean (mess food with nominal charge)

Hostel 7 mess provides best food when compared to other IITB hostel mess. Hostel has good lake view that's why it is called lady of lake.

Not good rooms from inside, less space.These are for single peoples but they put 2 persons in rooms.
Lot of mosquitos and cats, dogs.
From outside it is good amd feels like wonderful hostel but after entering in the rooms you will totally surprised..

It is a hostel which is right next to the Powai lake in the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. Owing to its location, one has a good lake side view and access to lake side from this hostel. It is indeed well placed since it is also on the main road, and has easy access to tum tum stops, as well as autos.

Really old hostel. Rooms are really small for double rooms. Students from all branches and year stay here. Mess food is good. Canteen is the worst.

Also called as lady of the lake, a 50 years old hostel. At IIT

After fixing infrastructure hostel is in good condition(53 years old now)
people are so social. Hall boy(Mukhri) was very good help in almost all things in hostel

The rooms need to be bigger and renovated. The foosball table and TT table provide ample time pass

Great Hostel

There is a photocopy shop is available near the enterance of the hostel.
Nice canteen, great and tasty food. The food is inexpensive as well.
The Louge is a nice place to chill as well facilities of television and some games are also avialable.

Officially vacated and would be demolished in near future. My residence for 2 years on Campus. Will surely miss her

Only the peer group becomes good. Food is bad, living conditions are bad :(

One of the best UG senior hostels to stay in IIT. Surrounded by Powai lake from 3 sides, this hostel is like mini island of IITB and is alternatively called as 'Lady of the Lake'. Sports is salient part of the stay. Hostel was Sports Inter Hostel GC champion in 3 of last 4 years.

Non-existent today. Once was the Lady of the Lake. Under reconstruction after demolition.

Very old hostel and not maintained properly.Very congested rooms.
