Hostel 5, IIT Bombay Review

good ambience and foods ...reminds me of my hostel there.. although its much better than my west bengal state owned govt college...

Terribly small rooms. Food is some of the best in campus.

This is an awesome hostel, though with old and small rooms. It used to have a wonderful and insti-wide famous mess in the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. The canteen is also good, and there is a lounge with TV area, a computer room, and a pool room. There are also some good grounds for badminton, football, and volleyball. The place is located right next to Campus Hub and a major bus stop.

One of best hostels to live which is right in the middle of the student residential area, with close proximity Campus Hub. It has one of the best mess in the institute as well.

IIT definitely doesn't even need any intro, unless you've been living under a rock

I stayed there for 3 days.. room where in very poor quality and not favourable for students. Cafeteria was good

Fast service, great food. Very affordable, just like all hostel canteens in IIT Bombay.

I was not satisfied with the room I was allocated, hostel 5 is old and unhygienic. No WiFi was provided during "techfest" in room.
The room was very dusty too.

This hostel is famous for providing best quality food inside IIT Bombay.

Please save our wards. Horrible rooms and living conditions. Rooms are like kitchen, shared by two students. One cupboard only for two. No table. No chair. With two small beds kept, there is hardly any space left. Even a train coupe has more space as compared to hostel 5 rooms. The infrastructure development at IIT Bombay has been delayed seriously.

Staying here in the old legacy of IIT Bombay was an enriching experience. Although the rooms are small but the campus and friends make it feel like home. In the hostel you'll find canteen/mess/stationary/laundry and basically everything of need, so you won't have to bring anything regarding those from home. Canteen and Mess food is awesome which is far better than other colleges, however if you are bored with it you can always go to H-3 or H-11 mess which are nearby. You'll surely love the experience.
