To anyone considering the services of Hospice of St. Francis, maybe my review can help you make a decision. My father was recently diagnosed with a devastating and rapidly progressing form of cancer. My parents live in a retirement community in Titusville well away from most of the family and my mother was facing this mostly on her own, with very difficult decisions to make. She chose Hospice of St. Francis and I have to say that was probably one of the most excellent decisions she has ever made.
Hospice of St Francis provided her with a Hospice nurse by the name of Amanda Coffey that must have been born with wings. She was a angel in disguise, always there for her and my father. She was able to help with the medications and any services or supplies that my father needed. I was able to travel to to Florida to help care for him the last 2 weeks of life. Amanda was a blessing that was provided to us in our greatest time of need. She spent a lot of hours with my family providing us with encouragement to help us face what was to come as well as working with us to make sure that my father had what he needed to manage his care at home.
When my father passed away Amanda came to the home and spent time with us grieving as well as doing what she needed to do in her job role. She was very compassionate and understanding especially with my mom. I am a nurse myself and I know dedication when I experience it. I found Amanda to be very dedicated, compassionate, unwavering and devoted to her job role as well as attentive to my family's' needs. I cannot thank Amanda enough. She was a a port in a storm when we needed shelter the most. Thank you Amanda from the bottom of my heart.
Kudos to the Hospice of St Francis for the brilliance to have staff such as Amanda to help families during their most trying and difficult times.
