Hoops Food Sports & Spirits Review

Meh. It's ok but not much in the way of Craft beer and it's almost to sporty.

I love this place. I work right by there and we have them for lunch often! The owner is a very nice guy i recommend this place for lunch or dinner or a couple drinks. Great atmosphere

Good chicken strips. Not a lot of tap beers though. They have a billiards table and darts too. Decent place to hang out.

Favorite spot for a chicken basket. Even though the palace is gone I think this place will be fine plenty of regulars.

Pretty good food, nice staff, good atmosphere. I have had just about every food item available and everything is great. My only issue is that the cook does not know how to cook a burger properly. I always ask for medium rare and it always comes well done.

Hoop Burger is the best! Rueben and Fish & Chips are also some of our favorites here. You can also ask them to grill finish your wings if you're nice about it. We've enjoyed good service here for 20 years.

Great food and drinks for cheap!! Best place to come before a Pistons game as they offer a shuttle to and from the game for $5/person so you don't have to deal with the cra palace parking lot.

Very pleasant! Samuel was our server, it was his first day; he was very accommodating and friendly! Food was great!

The bartender and waitress where both really friendly and very polite but the food was terrible! I didn't expect much of a bar steak but they still managed to disappoint. I drove all the way there just to get food (I didn't even order a drink) and it was so bad I couldn't eat it. The fries sucked, the onion rings were soggy, the meat was a cheap low quality cut to begin with, and then the cook managed to make it even worse. I know it's just bar food but it was so bad you'd have to be drunk to ever buy food from there again.

Typical sports bar with food. Has a big beer selection, bottle and tap. Food is good but not fabulous. Wait staff is real nice. Smokers hold the door open all evening and blow their smoke out as they come in the bar. Smells real bad.

The owner Mike is one of the coolest guys around. Always great service. Bartenders and Waitresses are always awesome, polite and accommodating. Definitely a place you can drink with friends and have an memorable time.

We have now gone twice to this place. The manager is very attentive and helps out when he sees something. The staff is friendly and helpful, but what brought us back were the hot chicken wings. The beer special also helps.

Nice dive bar. Thursday karaoke was slow but Football was on. Chicken taco much better than beef taco! Tacos only $1 so I'll go there again!

The Hoops shuttle was AWESOME!! Picked us up at hotel. Stopped at Hoops for a cocktail and delicious appetizers then on to venue. MIKE is there to get you back to your hotel!.
He wants hus guests to be happy.

Eh. The dartboard was next to the Foosball table. I could not throw darts very well. It was a big bar and it was empty.

Had a family get-together at Hoops. It was our first time ever being at this stablish meant. For the most part the food was phenomenal for a bar! The deep fried pickles, and the blackened combo appetizer or huge hits. Pretty much everybody loved what they order, only criticism were a couple of the burgers were a little well done. The staff was friendly and accommodating and we had a great time. We will be back again.

We were at Hoops for the 2020 Bar Battle Armwrestling Tournament. Huge burger with rings and beer. Great job on the burger!

It's a Decent place with decent food, and the last time I was there the band playing was really good, but the service has never been the best.

Hoops is a good place to watch your favorite teams and eat a good burger. The prices are reasonable and the service is always great. If you're high maintenance this isn't the place for you. It's a relaxed bar environment. This is one of my favorite local places to go to.

A lot nicer inside than I expected. I thought it was going to be a dive bar but it's nice, clean, with friendly staff.

Best wings ever!! Owner Mike was hands on, he made sure everything was great the entire time, good entertainment, all about the sports!

Great atmosphere! We came across this place by chance on our mini vacation from Canada. Highly recommend! Very nice owner and go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your night! Thanks Mike!

They have the best wings hands down but I ordered fish and chips today and literally was choking on bones and there was like black skin on this fish as if it was picked in the swamp behind the building. Mortifying. Found a total of 6 bones before I threw the rest out. I'll go back but definitely will never order fish and chips. 3 stars because I love the wings and service is decent.

Food isn't too shabby here (in a good way). Baskey of o ion rings or fries is WELL WORTH your money. You get a lot for the cost for sure. The bar food on the menu is good to, I tend to get a burger, eith fries and the onion rings and I am MORE than set for the day.

The wings are also an excellent choice if you aren't sure. Get them extra crispy (but that may just br a personal preference/texture thing for me)

The food was decent, but could be better. Prices are good overall and the beer is cheap. Best sports bar in the area.

Awesome atmosphere! Was my first time there. It's a killer place to tip back a few drinks with friends while waiting for a bay for top golf.

Best club sandwich i have ever had. My boyfriend ordered the fish & chips & he was impressed as well. Good portion size with reasonable prices. Everything was very fresh. We will definitely be back.

Ordered a take out of Hoops JUMBO Alaskan Cod, fish and chip dinner. Sadly this 10.99 meal consisted of 3 scrap piece of fish with some fries. I gave a 1 star just because the scraps and fries were hot.

The bartender Samuel was a very polite, nice, energetic young man. Had service with a smile. Very knowledgeable staff. Great for sporting events with many TVS and multiple sport on them. Just had a Hoops burger and my sidekick had the fish and chips. Both we excellently prepared and very tasty.

Didn't have to fight traffic and it was reasonably priced
