I've been paying for the plumbing and drainage cover with this company for 3 years and the first time I ever needed to use them, I was let down big time, it was an emergency plumbing problem and I was told there was no on call engineer in my area until the following day, simply disgusting and appalling, simply not good enough, they are so quick at taking your monthly premiums, but less quick to actually do anything when needed. Don't waste your money with this company as its a complete waste of time and money Karen Mcmanus

I have the Plumbing and Drainage Plus contract with HomeServe.

I had a blocked toilet problem. It was a difficult one and they had to come 4 times.

No additional fee applied. They resolved everything. Plus, they decided that the toilet pipe is old, and replaced it free of charge(the contract covers that).

Their appointment system is very clear. You call them and book a time. They send a confirmation email and they come when they promised. The technical team calls you again when they are on their way.

Their technical team explains every step clearly. Staff is polite. Despite these kinds of problems being stressful for residents, their engineer Callum is so cheerful and positive that you don t feel the stress.

Booked a survey for Monday all went well, was told they would contact me with quote. Received email saying they would do survey on weds between 1500 and 1645. I rang to say survey done and just need quote. They said just standard email set and they would ring with quote on weds. On weds received another email about setting up video link for survey. Again I rang and told sent in error and in would get a call. So I waited by 1715 no call so I rang. I did get an agent and he explained options, and said it could be done Friday as I had no hot water. I wanted to think about it so he said he would ring back about the 1030. He promised not to be late. By 11am no call so rang again. No one knew about the Friday installation so said they would get the agent to call me. 1800 and still no call. Obviously don't want my money. Waste of time.

We have paid HomeServe plumbing insurance for seven years. Last weekend we had a burst pipe. Reported it on Saturday, waited in all day Sunday. Repair man came Sunday pm. but said he was not the right person, we needed a pipe engineer. Pipe engineer said he would come on Tuesday. The company HomeServe subcontracted the work to, had only been alerted on Tuesday about our problem. Hopeless. In the meantime we had a flood. Our plumber came to mend the pipe on Monday as water gushing and we could not wait for HomeServe.
We will cancel our contract with HomeServe. Not a service at all.

Been waiting for repairs for two months, engineer ...

Been waiting for repairs for two months, engineer came out and ordered replacement parts. We chased a couple of weeks later to learn that the replacement parts don't exist. Were we contacted? No. We had to chase and ask for the machine to be replaced. Now another 2 weeks later spending everyday on the phone with no further progress. Getting bounced around each department promised callbacks everyday. Abysmal service.
