We ve been with Home Care Assistance of New Mexico for over a year. From the very first moment while desperately searching for in-home care options, brought on by an unexpected hospitalization, the HCA folks have been incredibly responsive. We ve transitioned from occasional care a few days a week, to live-in care, to 24-hour care, and back. Each time, HCA has been extremely accommodating and able to respond in short order. The care team has been amazing; taking such great care of our mom. We would highly recommend HCA.

They have been very helpful for us. I wish we could have them more, but I'm grateful to God for those three days. I don't have to guess about what's going on with my mom while I'm at work. I'm comfortable with them being there with her. My caregiver communicates with about what is happenng in my mom's life. The aide is doing what she needs to get done and my mom is happy with the care she is getting. Our caregiver does very well and sometimes does things way beyond the call of duty. My mom's bed is always made and she is showered with her hair done. Our caregiver does the laundry so we can put it up. I love it because mym mom is happy.
Once I called my care manager and told them my elderly aunt would be with my mom. The company told me our aide would take care my aunt too and she was just as compassionate to my aunt as she was to my mother. When she took for her a walk, she took my aunt with her too.

George Ramirez, the hiring manager, is rude and blunt. He is too serious, and has no customer service skills. He was condescending when I asked questions. I'd rather work for someone that's nice and has a better personality.
I have been a caregiver for about 8 years I have worked with 3 other agencies through the years, all i got to say is HCA has been by far the best home health care agency i have worked for. they not only put their clients first but they re employees also, they work with u they understand employees have life, family outside of work they help with education they r flexible they have wonderful benefits plus they keep working on adding new programs to the company for everybody s benefit. Case managers look for the best interest not only for the company but for the clients and the employees. All staff members put 100% of their effort. I really do appreciate u all

I can't say enough or thank Home Care Assistance enough, most especially Tara Brooks, our coordinator, for the loving care my husband and I and our son received during the worst time of our lives. They were there for us, flexible and responsive no matter the need or the immediacy. The caregivers were sensitive to our moods and responded with understanding at all times. I have to add it was the tone of their website that prompted me to call in the first place, hoping that the reality would be something close to what I'd felt from the ad. I am a caregiver with Home Care Assistance. I received high quality CPR/AED training, and have had many classes and training sessions relative to my care of clients. My office staff is very responsive to me and to my clients whenever we have questions or concerns. Overtime hours are very often available and the office is very proactive in notifying all caregivers for opportunities for additional work. If you are looking for care through this company, I would like to mention that the coworkers I have met are a cut above the average care company, because of the training we have received, and because we are hired with at least one year's experience under our belts.

I had a male (like me)home care aid who was prompt, courteous, and able to help me catch up on my home maintenance jobs that went begging while I was in hospital. He supervised my showering, dressing, and kitchen duties. Most importantly he was friendly with my overly friendly dog.
If he couldn't come, they had a substitute here.

HCA always attempts to find a good match between client's needs and the care worker. They strive to fill the client's schedule whether fixed or variable. The care workers are well groomed and dress in scrubs. A best effort is made to be on time every time. HCA has met our requirements for over two years now.
Our care manager matched my mother with a wonderful caregiver. My mother enjoys her company very much. She is punctual, consistent and thorough. The one day in 4 months that she called in, the agency promptly covered the shift with another great caregiver. I appreciate the way HCA works with my schedule and the additional services available, such as cognitive therapeutics.
My 92-year-old father was ill this past year and I came out to Albuquerque (I live in NY) to take care of him, but he wasn't bouncing back very quickly. I had to leave to go back to work and we decided we needed an aide. Other agencies we contacted either didn't call us back or were too overwhelmed to help. Home Care Assistance of Albuquerque sent someone to interview us within 2 days of our first call and had an aide suited to my Dad's needs available to start the following Monday. She has been with him for 4 months now and I feel much better knowing that someone is with my father, watching for anything that might go wrong.
Home Care Assistance has taken care of my parents and they have been here when they were supposed to be. Their caregivers show a good work ethic and by doing what my parents ask and staying busy. My parents have been very happy with the caregivers, but I'm too far away to know what they are good at. They have matched my parents well with caregivers, despite the difficulty of matching younger people to seniors. I think Home Care Assistance is doing a good job!

Home Care Assistance has provided 24/7 care for my husband who is dealing with the effects of his stroke. The care givers arrive on time, are professional, and have the special skills needed to attend my husband who is wheelchair mobile, but has a feeding tube and cannot talk well or attend to his personal needs. Our caregiver not only does light cleaning, laundry, meal-prep, grocery pickup, doctor appointments, and more, but she's a wonderful companion to both of my parents, and they really look forward to the days that she's at their home. We still have a long journey ahead, and I'm so grateful for the continued help and care my parents have received from Home Care Assistance.

My daughter found home care assistance for me. They are very professional and they make my life easier. My caregiver sees things to do that need to be done and I don't have to tell her to do them. She's pretty perfect. There's so many little things that makes such a difference for me. My care manager in the office is great too. They do what they say and I feel like I can call them anytime. Although we were only able to use the services for Home Care Assistance for a few weeks (Mom's circumstances took a dramatic change), we found the staff and management to be very caring.
We ended up needing to move Mom to full Assisted Living but if either my husband or I were ever in need of extra help I would not hesitate to contact them.
