Food was great at dinner and afternoon tea. Room was fantastic...stayed in deluxe room with a full lake view which was beautiful. Amazing jacuzzi bath which wasn't even in the room listing was a lovely surprise. Pool is great, hydrotherapy area is really unique and powerful. Unfortunately the pool was chilly, jacuzzi was not much warmer but to be fair i don't know if that's a Covid precaution? Mask wearing among staff is great...guests not so much. Contact details being noted to enter bar early in the day but that stopped later in the day because nobody was assigned to the post which defeats the purpose. Breakfast was so so but i think that tends to be fairly standard for hotels. Afternoon tea included a hot savoury option (mini burger) which was unusual to see but delicious.. great idea. Had a facial in the spa which was heavenly...super relaxing and felt like about 40 different products were used by someone who knew their stuff inside out. No shortcuts taken..well worth a trip to the spa. Overall staff were helpful and friendly throughout, fab food and the location is lovely if you can get some nice weather to go for a walk it's well worth it.

Superb stay there in the last few days. Its a well run hotel. Very evident that training is key to their success. Staff are incredible, always willing to go the extra mile to help you. Professional and friendly in every situation. Covid might be with us for a while but at The Hodson Bay you can relax, knowing every precaution has been taken for your safety and well being. I'm already looking at booking again for a spring break.

Stayed during Level 5 lockdown. Staff meticulous about observing Covid guidelines including temperature check at reception. Room is a good size with large writing desk. Modern new looking decor though TV is small. Dinner served in the library, staff attentive, helpful and good humoured. Meal was good. Bar not open though alcohol being served with meals. Location is impressive on the banks of Lough Ree.

It's exactly what it says on the tin, a beautiful hotel, the staff were excellent and couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast had a choice of everything on the planet, lunch and dinner we're also top-notch 11 marks out of 10 for the chefs. Our room was a little on the small side but was perfectly fine for sleeping in, it also had a good Size ensuite bathroom along with all the trimmings. We will definitely be back for another Bite of the Apple

Lovely place to visit especially on a hot sunny day.

It was an amazing place for our honeymoon. Nice staffs and delicious food. The whole hotel provided to us an unforgettable period.

Clean and spacious rooms. Very noisy though! Sadly, breakfast was very mediocre! In this day and age they really do Need to offer a variety of healthy breakfast choices other than a full Irish breakfast! Excellent service! Staff are very well trained and very courteous.
