Hockey Victoria Review

Big area with large capacity and great parking usually. Only down side is how confusing it can be to get around between grounds with minimal signage and awkward corridors.

The hall hosted some events not suited for the venue facilities, winter events in un heated hall. Management was not helpful. The main stadium is alright.

Great facilities but they charge around $5 for players and spectators to enter.

Great centre for Netball. Staff are polite and friendly. Coffee good but expensive.

Came here for Hall's Tae kwon do grading.

Venue is good. Lots of outdoor parking.

Has wheelchair ramp to get to entrance.

Food is average but not much choice in sporting venues.

Great facility for netball in Melbourne. Food & drink choices since going "healthy" are over priced and substandard. However my biggest gripe & reason for a low score is over ammenities... As a person who uses the centre minimum 3 times a week & pays entry of $4.30 every time; it is severely poor that the female toilets down stairs are in the condition they are. From toilets that leak water on the floor after a few uses; to loose/broken seats right down to uneven and rocky toilets themselves... its just not fair to see no improvement or care in regards of this.

I don t understand the need to charge every player and spectator who enters the complex. There are no clear signs to say why this is the case, and as a player I pay fees and expect not to pay extra at the venue

Great hockey facilities but it's a little odd there is no shop there.

Watched the international semifinals with a friend. Great game between India and New Zealand, very close.

Well kept, friendly staff, ladies bathroom is clean and well stocked... overpriced foot, suggest bringing your own

Amazing love training there facility is awesome the courts are always clean and not only do they have netball courts but hockey fields as well. Can't wait to see what the renovations look like after they are completed

I dont want to rate it . Go see for yourself. Touch some grass , a tree , ground yourself.

When i was young i was scared of dangerous people
The first time i went to prison. When they put me to prison, i was really scared. I started to think that dangerous people would give me problems. I started to know that everywhere you are, you get good and bad people. I found that the people inside the prison were not different to the people outside. There were reverends, pastors, imams and all religions. There were also police, and there wasn't any different to people outside. They had another prison to put dangerous people in. I started to like them, and had conversations together. They were honest people. I started asking them why they were in prison, and they told you true story. Every legal was there inside. The big mafias blamed small mafias. They asked them why they came to prison about drugs, and not about robbing for money. They didn't like them, and they blamed them. I started to ask them questions, and they asked me questions. I asked one man, and he told me he had been there for five years, they left him.when he finished his sentence, he went out but committed another crime and was sentenced to 10 years in jail. I asked him why he hadn't stopped with crime, and hadn't looked for a job himself He told me that when he went outside, people got scared of him and didn't give him a job. The government didn't give him a job, the government always followed him, because they knew he was a criminal. He decided to do crime. I started to remember that i had been scared of dangerous people. I started to understand that people who were dangerous, and people who didn't give dangerous people jobs were also dangerous. I started to know that they trained people badly. Some of them hated themselves and got stress. They started started to learn to be in gangs, and do more crime. Every person in the prison i asked, told me this story. In the prison i had known a lot of people from my city and the village i was born in. I found that they have big experience. They made a lot of robberies while they were inside. The people in the prison were very smart. They gave other robbers information on where to steal. If they steal and get money, the robbers would go to prison and give them the money to take care of them. They don't care, and they could kill police if they wanted to.

Not adequate parking if there is hockey and netball on...

Wouldn't let me park claiming it was private despite massive sign saying public parking.

Good training facilities and multiple courts for basketball, netball, and hockey

hockey grounds are well maintained and are fantastic to play on.

Great place to play netball but it's a bit steep that players have to pay to play and pay to get in

Nice facilities, but would have been better if the hockey field had contained stands for spectators. Having to sit in the wind and rain is pretty average.

Good size and facilities, long walk to the door , foyer gets crowded

Make sure you take your own food and drink ripped off big time.

Good location to watch a field hockey match. The western grandstand tickets are definitely worth when its a sunny day! Getting there with PT is a simple, takes 10 min walk to get there.

Can take a little while to get tickets and entry when busy. Watch out for those speed bumps too - test any shock absorber!

Soon to be upgraded, this venue has good facilities, and holds Netball and Hockey competitions. When basketball, gymnastics, etc. hire the venue, they charge for parking there. Umpires are charged to enter the stadium, which I think is wrong. Only one entry/exit for cars. Close to tram stop. Currently five indoor Netball courts, and four outdoor courts.

Great venue for watching sport. I'm not totally in favour of the "healthy snacks only" policy even if it is for a good reason.

Beautiful venue to view world class hockey, ample paid parking

Great hockey and netball facilities. Best in Victoria.
