Always clean and looks ornate and pretty. However, the seats are really uncomfortable. Too high off the floor, my 10 year old couldn't even touch the floor. And for adults, hits the back of the leg so your legs fall asleep. Others said the same thing. Always great performances, appreciate that!!!

It was our first time there, great show and from Ebay I can see, not a bad seat in the house. We brought my mother in law for her 80th birthday. Just a special note, we bought seats in the balcony level because they had an elevator listed. Thet do have an elevator but it only goes the the main level. She is not good with stairs.

One of my very favorite places to visit and see performances in an intimate setting. It's like stepping back in time. Plan ahead to spend some time in Woodstock Square if you happen to be coming here for a show.

A beautiful, historic, and charming opera house that overlooks the town square, this is a relatively small performance venue that nevertheless gives one a feeling of being in a much larger space. Our jazz band enjoyed performing a couple of concerts here one night.

Very nice building and tour! Nice job of restoration, and returning it to near "original" condition. Between the opera house and the Woodstock Square across the street, it's like stepping back in time! Such a picturesque area.

We were in the balcony. I did not feel safe. The play wasn't that wonderful either. That same weekend we saw a high school performance of Singing in the Rain and it was 100x better than Legally Blonde at the Woodstock Opera House. I won't be back. Very uncomfortable seating. Historical, yes. Enjoyable, no.

Great cultural institution housed in a beautiful, historic building. Came to do some sightseeing and happened upon a wonderful storytelling event. If I lived closer I would come to more events.

Great historic venue to see high quality community theatre shows, as well as other top notch entertainment. Better yet, get involved with the various community organizations. If seeing a show, avoid the sides of the mezzanine. Site lines are not optimal for seeing the entire stage.

This is a quaint, old theatre that puts you really close to the stage, regardless of your seat. However some of the side balcony seats have minor obstructions but not too bad.
They have online ticket purchasing, which is easier if you create a free online account and plan on seeing shows frequently. Tickets can be e-tickets (I think this works now), print at home, or just pick up at will call.
One of the major downsides is the seating is really cramped and if you have to leave your seat during a performance for whatever reason, it's a major disruption.
Parking is free but that said, consists of the Woodstock Square and surrounding streets and public lots and depending on what's happening on the Square, you may have to park a few blocks away.
But you will not be disappointed by any of the productions. The mix of professionals and amateurs always give stellar performances.

Staff was friendly. Production of Beauty and the Beast was amazing. The opera house is beautiful. The theater performers, technical staff, and crew did an amazing job with their set and space! One would never know how limited they were on backstage space with how amazing the production was.

We came for The Nutcracker because two of our nieces dance in it every year. The upstairs seating is horrible with limited views. It was also so hot this year that people were fanning themselves and sweating. It was the middle of December. My baby started crying so I politely removed myself and stood in the back to bounce him. He was quiet right away but an employee told me I wasn't allowed to stand back there. I ignored her. It was that or let my baby scream during the entire second act of the nutcracker.

We saw Robbie Fulks at the historic Woodstock Opera House. (Orson Welles performed there for 2 years). The venue and Robbie were great. His between songs conversations with the audience were personable and entertaining. Pre-show we went to the Stage Left Cafe and enjoyed the people and drinks.

Beautiful, historical building has been fully restored. The entertainment is great and runs the range from local performers to nationally known acts. They also host two different community theater companies, one musical and one not. Production quality is excellent. Prices are more reasonable than any other area theater. Hint: Volunteer to be an usher and get into some shows for free.

A wonderful historic theater, lovingly maintained and preserved. I've attended live theater, movies, and concerts here, and each has been a great time.

Don't forget to check out the attached Stage Left Cafe, they have a great assortment of snacks and drinks, including a decent craft beer selection.

It's convenient location right in the square and parking in Woodstock isn't too bad. I give it 4 stars because the seats aren't the most comfortable but I guess that's constrained by the antiquity of the place. It is an interesting place to visit when coming to Woodstock.

Not as big as i thought this place is gonna be. If your seat is in balcony level expect a at least 30 or more steps of stairs. i wouldnt recommend for people having problem walking on stairs or have have a knee problem. Food and drinks are not allowed inside. Bathroom is pretty clean and updated.
