It was so much fun walking down Historic Huguenot Street. Me and my family saw a lot of cool houses. We also went to the museum. It has very cool artifacts. I even went into a Native American Wigwam. Definitely coming back.

Very great historic place with a lot of historic buildings. I wish I went on A-day where the museum and visitor center were open so I can view more things and ask questions. I can't wait to go next year and do a tour or maybe even later this year.

Quaint little village from the 1600- 1700's that transends you into colonial times as you walk through the original stone buildings. The streets are cordoned off so there's no vehicular traffic. A perfect way to spend a leisurely day walking through history!

It was very interesting learning about the history of the patentees that founded that area of the town and what the lives were like of the slaves that lived there. Best tour guide was Eddie Moran, who was very knowledgeable, patient with our slower-walking elders, and charming.

Looked like an interesting place, but the houses, visitor centre and church were all shut, so only managed to see the outside of the buildings. The Bakery is a good place for sandwiches, cakes etc.

This is a great place to learn about what our country was founded on. Awesome early architecture. They do a great job presenting historical relevance of all people who resided here. The Huguenot is just one piece of this complex puzzle.

Absolutely amazing history about the founding of New Paltz. A true hidden gem in the Hudson Valley. To see a true colonial village so intact is incredible. The cemetery has graves that date back to the 1600's. Definitely worth a visit and it's FREE!!!!!!!!!

We missed the guided tours and so we took the free app self guided tour. But only the interior of the main building/gift shop was accessible. Would have liked to see inside the other houses on the tour.

Beautiful area with a lot of history. Stone House days celebrates this history with reenactments by the 1st Ulster County Militia and the 5th New York Regimental Army, two 18th century reenactment groups from the area. Visitors were able to meet reenactors and learn about period life, from residential living, camping, cooking, militia and regimental drilling and firearms, and even a period doctor. Keep eyes open for other events here on Huguenot Street and look forward to more history and bigger events in the future.

Just did the self guided tour. So our group didn't get to see inside any of the houses. It'll take you about 30 minutes to walk the whole street if you read all the signs and listen to the information from the downloaded tour app

in 1677 the Huguenot settle here and this is considered to be oldest continuously inhabited settlements in the United States. if that doesn't make you jump up off the couch to see this historical place go back to sleep. I visit this place on a beautiful summer morning. It was very peaceful and it makes you wonder what it was like living here that many years ago. the guides and homes were amazing. Even the surrounding houses more pleasurable to look at. If you are a buff for history and old home this is a must on anybody's list. Enjoy your adventures.
