Hirsch Guitar Academy is by far the BEST place to learn to play guitar or bass. The instructor is very friendly, helps you set your own goals for playing and helps cater to those goals, your play style, etc. No matter how much or little experience you have, Chris will help you get where you want to go with your guitar desires!
The lessons are great! However it was very pricey and there was very limited amount of class time!
Chris is an awesome teacher. He really pushes you to achieve your goals. If you are just beginning he will set you on the right path and if you've been playing a long time he can still teach you something new.
My 6 year old took lessons with with the academy for 7 months. The teachers were extremely helpful and catered to my child s learning. She learned over 20 songs, scales and guitar sheet music reading. Only reason we stopped is because of a move away from LA. Highly recommend!
Chris is an awesome instructor with the goal of "teaching you to be a musician, not a robot". As a beginner, I did not really understand the depth of what that meant, but after just a few months of taking lessons I have learned more about the guitar and music in general than I thought I ever would (I would have taken robot and been happy!). He offers a very structured and cohesive lesson plan, which I love. I would highly recommend Hirsch Guitar Academy to anyone, no matter the level of previous experience or knowledge.
