Surprisingly buzzy, love the amenities, easy in out.

If you can't stand the impersonalness and cavernous feel of a big box store, come to Hingham Lumber instead. Plenty of friendly sales help. Right on Rt 3A in Cohasset - they moved from Hingham when the Greenbush commuter rail line was resurrected.

Hingham Lumber is one of my favorite hardware stores. They carry an excellent selection of quality products, a lot of which you won t find at the big chain hardware stores. Plenty of friendly & knowledgeable staff are always on hand. They are a Ben Moore retailer and the paint department in general is top notch. Large, drive thru lumber yard behind main building.

Tons of stuff in stock, huge selection. Was a shortage on pressure treated for a while. Also was able to buy masks here. Huge place. Very fast. Good service and friendly. It gets super busy during the week but was still decently fast considering the amount of traffic and customers going through. Fast account lookup.

Best place by far if you want lumber and construction supplies

Have been here before and been very satisfied, this time, however, not so much. I am about to start another project. I have the contractor but wanted to See the product before I decided on it definitely. So, on line it stated that Hingham lumber was a 'showroom' for this product. Not true. Albeit, the staff was super pleasant, not a lot of available assistance. Lots of 'pointing me in the right direction.' Nobody especially interested in talking with me.

Better quality, price, selection and staff than the big boxes

I called with some questions about my Andersen Windows that are being installed by someone other than Hingham Lumber and I received AMAZING, excellent customer service from Ginny who answered the phone and Dick McCarthy who spent at least 20 minutes explaining the procedure and easing my concerns about the installation by my contractor. I wish I had found them sooner to have had them do my job! I will go to them with my next home project. Thank you!

Excellent service, especially from Peter Brown who repairs power tools.

I went in on Monday with our Propress M18 machine that stopped working. Peter Brown in the service department was outstanding. He said to give him 10 minutes to figure it out and he did. I had the tool back in my hand the same day. It was a bit of an emergency as we needed the tool for the following day. In the past Peter also repaired our Air Snake. Peter is very knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. Great customer service! Thank you!

Hingham Lumber is my go-to place for Hardware or Home Improvement needs. Excellent, knowledgeable staff who couldn't be more helpful.

We went there last week to get two propane tanks filled for our Gas Grille ... They have the best price anywhere I have seen ... I have a Commercial Accunt there , but we paid cash as we got a $ 5.00 Coupon in a mailed Circular ... 2 full Cannisters for under 15 Bucks !! ... Great price ... Smiley , polite Employees !!

Don't get fooled by the name. They have a lot more than lumber! Great place to shop for anything a hardware store would have plus more. The ladies in the paint department are there best!

It costs a bit more, but the quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten. Plus quality lumber saves you time and frustration on installing...

Nice selection, some very high quality and fashion items, but priced to match.

From both a personal and professional standpoint, this is hands down the only place you should go. They have EVERYTHING you need no matter how obscure on hand at all times and the staff is mostly seasoned contractors so you know you can always get the help you need every time without fail. I've been going there for years and neither the business nor the people have yet to even mildly dissapoint

Fantastic lumber yard! Stock is excellent quality. Don't ware your time at big box lumber yards, go straight here. My go to for all construction material needs. Very helpful staff as well.
