I met Rolando...a Supervisor with Hart transit. He understands the meaning of community and welcoming newcomers to the area....I was so grateful for his help and kindness. HART Transit has a gem in this employee and should be proud to have him representing your city.
I commuted for years, believe commuting integral to any urban area..... sigh.
During non-pandemic, buses always late with some routes timepoints violating the laws of physics (Rte 16, 45 specifically. Am certain there are others).
During pandemic, service worse, seating worse... it seems public told one thing, drivers told another. I broke down and went against my better judgement, investing in a private fossil fuel machine.
Some of the most amazing, dedicated people work/drive for this company but somewhere there s a BIG problem...
HART is an ABSOLUTE JOKE! Did you know Tampa ranks #3 as one of the worst public transportation systems in the USA? Look it up, see for yourselves.
Buses are running on a Sunday schedule! It is very inconvenient. Reduced routes, why no reduced Bus Fare?
Loved HART!! They are still collect fares and BEST OF ALL, THEY ARE NOT LIMITING PASSENGERS LIKE PSTA DOES . The system is very frequent unlike PSTA. I wish HART can manage the whole Tampa Bay (Hillsborough, Pinellas, Hernando, etc)
09feb2021 bus driver ms.bell rte 33 helped me find my way. I am from out of town and she helped me navigate my way around town to get to my next destination I thank you very much ms bell you are a wonderful human being and a great friend
I feel that bus drivers in tampa florida are the rudest bus drivers i have had to deal with. I am from new york city and the drivers there are no where as rude as the ones from tampa florida. I got on the bus at Hillsborough and Habana on march 17, 2021. At around 11:58 pm. I asked the bus driver why did it take a number 34 bus an hour and a half 1 1/2 to arrive to that stop. She responded by saying not my bus. I told her yes. Before i was able to tell her that i meant the 34 bus in general, without knowing whom i was, the lady bus driver picked up her hand and in a hand gesture basically told me that i did not know what i was talking about. I told her i meant to tell her that i was talking about the 34 bus. In a rude way she said that she did not know.
This is not the first time i have seen a bus driver be very rude. They all need some customer service training.
NO COMMON SENSE OR I DON'T GIVE A DAMN.On Aug 23rd, 5:36 pm I witnessed this bus driver route 8 number 1606. Bus was on 7th Ave eastbound crossing 21st. Driver intentionally pulled out into intersection when light was about to turn red. Driver had a semi in front of him and was going nowhere. Bus blocked all south bound traffic. I've been a professional driver for 30 years. I know when the flow of traffic is stopped and when the light is going to turn. So I wonder....does the driver have NO COMMON SENSE OR just DOESN'T GIVE A DAMN.
Bus didn't show and it's one of the main stops 5:30 PM mango transfer at walmart....2/17/2020. No big deal just missed something important to me not hart.
Buses are always late for connections. Especially if you have to take multiple buses. Don't plan on them being dependable. The drivers will consistently leave stations late for no reason. The buses are every hour instead of every half hour which is not helpful at all.
