As someone that has done business with them, I can say the owner is always trying to take short cuts and this shows in the way they do business and take care of their facilities. If you have a loved one that needs help...look elsewhere. There are a lot of better choices.
Stay very far away...COVID-19 and bedbug infested!! They have over 178 COVID positive patients and staff with 20 deaths (as reported on the public IDPH webpage)! Our uncle was put in a room with a COVID patient! The facility doesn't care at all. They are all about saving money. Ventilation issues prevail. Due to this chaos at the nursing home, not only have patients been leaving the facility (if they survive), but scared nurses have been leaving too! Not to mention, a nurse told us that their Head of Admissions (Joel Crabtree) was a convicted offender! Guess he can't work here any longer since he's now in jail. A nurse told us that some of their patients are listed offenders as well. Not a safe place for our loved ones in many respects. The nurses don't recommend this place and advised us to move our loved one. Very depressing and dirty facility. Took our uncle out of this place. This place is said to be possibly closing down due to all these issues. I wouldn't send my loved one here even if you gave me a million dollars.
This is a very nice facility. People are caring. When you are in a situation when your parent (or loved one) needs extra care, they really give you piece of mind they are being well cared for. I highly recommend.
This nursing home breaks my heart. The staff is a very uncaring group of people... only here for the paycheck. I watched an employee,, yell at a patient and then speak poorly about said patient right in front of everyone and the patient to another coworker. absolutely unprofessional, and very abusive. Then I watched on as another worker was feeding another patient by shoving the spoon up to her mouth and rubbing the food on her lips, then multiple spoonfuls dripped onto the patient s clothes. sits a touch job, but if you can t put your heart into it, then it s not a job for you.
My cousin had to take his mother out of this nursing home immediately for COVID 19 concerns.. One of the nurses at the facility told us the facility is trying to hide the fact that they have had many COVID-19 staff serving the patients. They are very rude and the environment is unclean. I would not recommend this place at all. Stay safe, stay home.
Great, caring staff. Clean and well staffed facility don't let the dated building and furniture fool you, this is a quality,family run nursing center.
Bryce and Jeneece are TERRIBLE PEOPLE. They hacked my DoorDash account and charged my card over 10 times. They tried to order large amounts of food. I called them to stop charging my account because I don't have money to give out to strangers and they retaliated by making a large Taco Bell order.
I contacted DoorDash and got a refund and I changed my password. However, it should be known that there are scammers working at this facility. To scam people during a pandemic while people are struggling financially is extremely messed up. Please DO NOT TRUST Bryce and Jeneece with your personal information or loved ones because they will take advantage.
I am looking for a place for my elderly mother and was referred here by another place. I went with my husband and my mother. As soon as we went in it seemed depressing and sad. The women working at the front desk didnt even acknowledge us, more into talking to each other. We got a tour by the head woman who seemed nice herself and answered all my questions. The residents all seemed the same way, no smiles and no happiness. One sweet little old lady in a wheelchair came up to us, hugging a stuffed animal cat and saying she wanted to go home. This broke my heart into a million pieces. I wish I could have taken her out of there. I seen another lady, the head woman said she has to wear a lockdown bracelet because she tries to leave all the time. She was so drugged up that she probably wouldn't even make it to the door! I am sorry but I would never leave my mother here and I do not know how anyone could leave their parent or grandparent here. Find another facility, there are far better than this!
There are not enough praises I can sing about how amazing the staff at Hillcrest is. They have been so great with taking care of my Grandma and I can honestly say they have become part of our family. Truly a great place with great people to take care of your loved ones!
I stopped by as a visitor and was shocked to see how nice this facility is. Seems like a great place full of awesome people that seem to like their jobs.
I'm not into the idea of others caring for MY family members, as I have the means to do it myself but would recommend this place to someone looking for quality care from smiling faces.
