Have had several incorrectly billed office visits,...

Have had several incorrectly billed office visits, and sure we all make mistakes, it's the resolution of those that is the HUGE headache. You have the exact righ claim # and exact everything. Here is an example, I had an office visit, I provided the info requested. The customer agent, didn't see it so promtly referred back to my health insurance. When pushing back, she had to dig a bit to find another billing code under that same visit. Again, the agent promptly tried to get me to call Blueshiled to resolve it. I've been down that road with them so requested that rather than me going back and forth, she help me.

I will say, once I pushed back every step of the way, in the end, I got my result with her help. She was also kind.

Bottom line, the hand-full of interactions I've had with this company, I've found the company agent to be reluctant to do more than the absolute minimum required.

Tip: Don't accept the first answer you get, ask questions until you clearly understand and if you are quickly referred to someone else to get help, consider the possibility that you may have a reluctant agent on your hands.

Worst experience with this group. The doctor was not able to join my appointment in time, I complained and the resolution was that he excluded me form his list of patients. That is the level of care they will give you. It's not the patient that is at the center here. I wish there was a 0 stars possible as a review

This "business" epitomizes everything wrong with medicine. They are incredibly slow to respond to basic requests and when they eventually do, they make it abundantly clear that they hate their jobs and could care less about you as a patient. Avoid at all costs!

It s open enrollment season for medical insurance. This is the worst medical group and highly not recommended. I have a respiratory condition and severe asthma and in 6mo been admitted 2x on top of numerous ER visits. My PCP recommenced me to see an in-network specialist who concluded type of treatment I need isn t avail with any physician within network. Yet Hills is instant about staying in network. I ve had to advocate for myself hosting weekly calls with Hills PCP Stanford and my insurance carrier. I ve had to find my own ICD codes make sure medical notes are accurate and practically hand hold the whole authorization process. Their lack of empathy, understanding, knowledge, and politics impede one s access to care and continuity of care. DO NOT CHOOSE HILLS PHYSICIAN MEDICAL GROUP!!!!

I'm giving Hill one star and I wish I could give them 0 stars. They took over Dignity Health and everyone who had Dignity was automatically switched over to Hill. Mine and my son s primary doctor are both in Redwood City but all their specialist are in San Francisco. My son desperately needs to see a specialist and the only referral I can get in in San Francisco and they can't get him in for 3 over weeks. This is absolutely unacceptable. Why would I have our primary doctors 30 miles away from all approved specialist and in San Francisco where we have to wait weeks for an appointment. It just makes no sense at all.

Absolutely horrible people; made my life a living hell trying to get a medical device, which I have been using for years, approved for my insurance coverage. I pay $550/month for health insurance and all I need was an insulin pump I have been using for ten years and which helps keep me healthy. When I switched to a Blue Shield HMO, this physicians group would not approve the insulin pump. What an absolutely horrible experience.
