If I could give this school a negative rating I would. Most of the teachers have your student best intereste at heart. However.... school administrators do not. My child graduated 8th grade after being in their school from kindergarten only to find out that he has dyleixa, dyscaula, slow processing, Executive function to name a few he always struggled and it was known. In addition my 14 year old who went k-6 also has dyslexia where she struggled however, blame was always placed on her.
If you suspect your child has a LD run don't walk it about the bottom dollers at Highlander Charter School . The "head" of school Rose Mary Grant is also the head of the Special
Eed department and doesn't listen to her teachers, parents or students needs. She wears too many hats with in the school and was a detriment to my family who supported her and the school.
I also am aware of few other students that after they left now know little to nothing was done to support their LD.
Run don't walk you will thank me.
