My daughter had an excellent experience with Higher Ground Learning. The tutor, Heather, was a great teacher and helped my daughter improve her ACT score by 2 points in just a few months. Everyone at Higher Ground Learning is friendly, competent, and easy to work with. By far the best ACT prep that we have experienced (this is our youngest of 4 children and we have tried several different programs). Jason is so AWESOME and SKILLED at recognizing what my student needed to be most prepared to take the standardized tests. HGL really helped my child get the work done without too much grief, especially when a paper was due. I think in-person vs. online tutoring totally depends on the child and the material. Online can be great for some things, but not for others. Certainly not leaving the house is always a plus, but it can also be tough to relate. I also think my child liked coming to the center and playing the games you had available. This helps reduce some anxiety

Andy was my twins tutor and she was a phenomenal with them. They re in the spectrum high functioning and she was so good in connecting with their style of learning. Both excelled and both were up to speed in algebra for 9th grade. I recommend Andy and Higher Ground Learning. The owner played a huge part in selecting them. He is a very empathetic person which I needed at the time.
