Great location in the center of town, walkable to main street. The views are amazing, as is the lobby decor was warm and classy in the traditional Adirondack Ski Lodge vibe. The service was friendly, helpful and tuned into all our needs. Good food. Overall a wonderful stay.

Nice clean rooms with comfortable beds. We had a lakeside room, and the view and access to toys (kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, peddle-boats, etc. Was out of this world. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Stayed here as Priceline express deal 4-star on 23rd Dec 2018 night.

The check-in took over half an hour. I understand systems can act up but its the super sweet condescending receptionist really spoiled the mood. Here's how some of the conversation went with her

Me: We have 2 rooms. Can you give me something close together.
She: I can give you rooms close together but one of them would be dirty. We don't want to give you a dirty room so no.

All guests other than me were offered champagne during check in
Me: is that only for your premium customers
she: no everyone gets one
... awkward silence for 2 minutes
me: can I get it
she: sure
... after another 10 minutes finally when checkin was done
she: have a pleasant stay
me: I didn't get my bubbly
she: I will have my colleague pour you one
me: no thankyou
me (in my head) - glad we are here only for one night.

Nothing 4 star about the place either.

Picture online make the rooms nicer than they are, but still good sized
and pleasant, however over priced. Beds covers in room were messy when we arrived, Friday 10/5/18 and some cobwebs in room, plus a spider in shower. However, "Great,...Shower" and bathroom, but we don't sleep in bathroom. Beds were not very comfortable, shaky and a bit old, made for a coupe tough nights. TV takes 5-10 seconds to switch between stations. Indoor pool areas were old. Excellent gym/weight room. Staff,...very friendly and helpful. However, I received two texts from staff about how I'm enjoying my stay and when I stated my experience there was no response. Parking garage was dank and unkempt. Front lobby was nice, but I didn't sleep in lobby. This is likely an over priced 3 star hotel, formally the Hilton. Wouldn't go back or recommend.

Really liked our stay at High Peaks Resort. We had a room with Lake View and enjoyed it. Some parts of the hotel are clearly older but the bathroom and room looked updated. We had a quiet night. The staff was friendly and we even got champagne when we checked in. Would stay here again.

Our favourite place to stay in the Adirondacks! (When the borders are open ;)) We have been coming here from Canada at least twice a year for the last 5 years, and are blown away every time. The staff are the friendliest we ve ever seen, who are always committed to giving you the lowest prices and best rooms possible! Rooms are clean, with comfortable beds and pillows. Located steps from downtown and extremely central, this hotel was some of the best views or mirror lake and whiteface. Their restaurant can be a bit pricey but has excellent fish and chips. So glad it s pet friendly. We hope to return here in 2021 and definitely recommended for anyone looking where to stay in this beautiful town.

Greeted by a friendly staff member at the desk upon arrival. Check in was smooth and the room was decent. I paid for a room with a "superior view" and got stuck on the second floor with a view of the AC units on the roof of the building across the courtyard. I didn't bother to complain as I was only staying for a night.
