Had the karaage donburi. Delicious, crunchy chicken and a good amount of rice and salad. It was worth the price and more.

We had the croquette curry and chicken Katsu curry and both were affordable and delicious! The staff only does pickup but they were really nice to talk to! I hope I can go back soon!

This was my third or fourth visit to Hi Genki since fall 2020. I had the korroke and the seafood platter. It was great value for money in terms of quality and amount. My food was hot, and ready on time and very tasty. The only thing I would request is that they add okonomiayaki to the menu

If you are a fan of traditional Japanese home cooking, this is the place. It shares the building with a Japanese senior home. Many of the senior home residents dine there too. The food is always fresh and delicious. To keep everyone safe and healthy, please follow their protocols. Sometimes it is difficult to find parking there. Hence the 4-star. Bus stops nearby.

Amazing food! Definitely a unique experience dining in, but the food was fast and Delicious.

Ive been visiting this place since 2008 and kept going back for 1 specific item.. Chicken Karaage Don!! (They also have the spicier version)

It's literally the perfect chicken karaage! Perfect Batter, very crispy, moist, juicy BUT not oily.. which is pretty darn impressive!! Generous portion! Plus the price point is super affordable too!! which is +++ in my book!

Everything else on their menu are also delicious as they make everything super fresh!!

I love getting takeout from Hi Genki and then having a picnic in the park in front of the Nikei Centre. Great way to spend a summer day!

Wanna eat comfy food like at your grandmas? Look no further, this is the one. This Japanese restaurant is located inside a senior rest home, where you can eat in the same environment of the residents. Seems like a great interaction, once you can try amazing and tasty real Japanese food, made by Japanese. I had salmon and it was awesome, good portion and well distributed. Free parking at the subterranean parking.

I come here often for their spicy karaage don! It s not super spicy but a good amount for the taste. The dish also comes with a side of miso soup. Online ordering through their website is super simple.

I am OBSESSED with Japanese curry and have had it at so many different restaurants. Hi Genki by far is my favorite place to go to for katsu curry! It's so authentic and the portion is big! I prefer the chicken over the pork because I find it juicier and more tender. Be sure to call and order your food ahead of time, because it gets quite busy. They are only doing takeout right now due to covid.
