Absolutely terrible. I have to give 1 star for me to leave a review. If you like being misinformed, lied to and not taken care of HI Desert is the perfect hospital for you. The nurses rarely check their patients. And when they do they give you absolutely no information whatsoever. The nurses lie to the patients to get them to do what the nurses want. When you use the call button it takes them a minimum of 30 minutes come in, That's if they even come in at all. I knew HI Desert was terrible but this time they took it to a whole new level of terrible.

For example today my son texted me. He asked me what he should do because he feels like he is coming down with a cold. I texted him back Emergenc ( the dietary supplement). But the text went to Dr.Wilsons office right away they texted me back asking if I was okay. Of course I explained. They are amazing! And the wait is never long. Even if it was I would wait to be seeing. Because they are worth it!

My wife went into the ER concerned with pre-eclamp...

My wife went into the ER concerned with pre-eclampsia at 38 weeks of her pregnancy. The staff was incredibly polite, kind, and helpful. They checked her promptly. Contacted her doctor, Dr. Troung, who wanted the baby monitored for 45 minutes. We then went to the labor and delivery part of the hospital, where Cortni monitored our daughter in the womb. Cortni was beyond excellent and her bedside manner was the best, treating us with compassion and exhibiting evidence of looking out for the interest and well being of my wife and daughter above everything else. My wife was admitted as they saw her cervix dialation progressing. It was 12 hours before she was completely dilated, and during this entire time this staff never ceased to be there for her to comfort and communicate each step of the way. When the staff switched off from night staff to morning staff they made sure that everyone knew exactly what was going on. They communicated this in the room with my wife. Never did we have to question what was going on. You will not find a more excellent staff to deliver your child and comfort the mother, in my case my wife. I want to acknowledge clearly and proudly that Cortni, Brandi, Sara, Alyssa, Rebecca, Lulu, Melissa, Dr. Troung are the best you will find, to be there for you and your baby during your delivery. If I wrote every prefect experience that took place during this hospital stay it would be a book. At the end when my wife and daughter were discharged, Korina (Director of Obstetrical services) came in and talked with my wife, greatly encouraged her, and gave many helpful tools to help my wife know she will do great at her first child. She also followed up on the performance of the staff, she is entrusted to lead and direct. I want to ensure you this Hospital and especially the maternity staff will exceed all areas of expectation as they excel beyond excellence for you and your baby. I thank God for all of them. Thank you Jesus for a blessed delivery and an experienced staff.

In Christ Jesus,
Jason Roberts

Would give zero stars if I could. I should have listened to the horrible reviews of this place. Definitely consider if you are out of network because if you are then they will continue to bill you for any increases in rates. There are no rules or laws with out of network. They can bill you whatever they want. It's called surprise billing and congress hasn't passed the bill yet to protect the consumer from this. I had paid all my bills in full and over half a year later I am being sent additional bills because the rates increased which according to my insurance they can continue to do for months to come. My visit was 11 months ago and I am still dealing with this place after thinking everything was closed out. Save yourself from a headache.

Went to their Emergency Room recently, the nurses were very kind and friendly. They seemed knowledgeable but, people should know ahead of time they don't have a lot of specialists here, but they will send you to the closest hospital in your network. Until they send you out when a bed opens up, they take good care of you. It's a small town hospital so of course they don't service every issue, but they still see you as important and take care of you as much as they can. I was glad that this hospital is nearby with an Emergency Room.

Got bill for 100% Medicare covered procedure. Person writing up procedure got snarky with me upon asking me for money when I told her this particular kind of CT had no copay. She told me I might get a bill. Well, I did............because she used the wrong billing code. Have had procedure before so looked up my 2 year old record & found correct one. For the record, the technicians are apparently employed by the imaging company. In my monthly summary, their charges were listed as a separate item, using correct code. Having taking an arduous course in medical billing, am aware of the literally millions of codes, especially for Medicare procedures but......it's her job to at least know where to look for the correct code & seriously....listen to the patient who is telling you the exact procedure. I've only lived in this area/county for 11 months and have heard only negative things about this place, truly, not one single positive comment from friends, acquaintances & strangers. And yet, they continue to be allowed to forget the "care" in health care! Guess they're aware options are limited in this part of the state so apparently don't feel they have to do good/better.
