Interesting museum, bigger than expected. Well-displayed history of not only Pierre Cuypers but the whole family too. A modest selection of his work, but also more attention for not building related work. You can get close to art.
For children there is a card on which you can tick what you have seen and then you can send it to someone.

There is also sufficient space for changing exhibitions that are also related to the architect.

#29Roermond if your a fan of Cuypers then of course you have to come here. Nice little gift shop and a cafe when you enter. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The building is from Cuypers too (1853). I quiet like the Celtic and medieval motifs in his work and thought I'd see more of that which I didn't, but I did learn a lot about the complete works if Cuypers. #railthetrails

Nice exhibition. You can walk around the entire house freely. First there is a video of a few minutes and in it his grandson tells us who Cuypers was and what he designed. There is also a piece of modern art on display, very special
In the basement there is a photo exhibition about which buildings he designed and for which he had an advisory role. Highly recommended to visit. One downside is that money is being prayed for visibly through film and leaflets. That is why it was 3 stars otherwise it would certainly have been 4.

As busy as it is in the Rijksmuseum (or Central Station) in Amsterdam, it is as quiet in terms of visitor numbers in the Cuypershuis in Roertje.

However, I can definitely recommend this museum - A great place to find out more about architect Cuypers, the well-known Dutchman of old, who, together with his team, placed some beautiful 'landmarks' in the Dutch street scene.

For example: Kasteel Haarzuilens, in the province of Utrecht. Dutch glory.
