Hesston United Methodist Church: A Place of Open Hearts, Open Minds, and Open Doors
Hesston United Methodist Church is a vibrant and welcoming community located in the beautiful town of Hesston, Kansas. Our mission is to open our hearts, minds, and doors to all who seek a deeper connection with God and with one another.
At Hesston UMC, we believe that everyone is welcome at the table of God's love. We strive to create an inclusive environment where people from all walks of life can come together to worship, learn, grow, and serve. Whether you are new to the area or have been here for years, we invite you to join us on this journey of faith.
Our church offers a variety of programs and activities for people of all ages. From Sunday school classes for children and youth to Bible studies for adults, there are plenty of opportunities to deepen your understanding of God's word. We also have a vibrant music ministry that includes choirs for adults and children as well as instrumental ensembles.
In addition to our regular worship services on Sunday mornings at 9:30 am (traditional) or 11:00 am (contemporary), we also offer special services throughout the year such as Christmas Eve candlelight service or Ash Wednesday service.
One thing that sets Hesston UMC apart from other churches in the area is our commitment to social justice issues. We believe that it is important not only to talk about our faith but also to put it into action by serving those in need in our community and beyond. Some examples include hosting community events like Trunk-or-Treat or Vacation Bible School; supporting local organizations like Mennonite Central Committee or Harvey County Homeless Shelter; participating in mission trips both domestically and internationally.
If you're looking for a church home where you can be yourself while growing closer to God alongside others who share your values - then look no further than Hesston United Methodist Church. We welcome you with open hearts, open minds, and open doors!
