Im sure they are probably competent. I work for a govt agency and we called them out for a bad compressor. The tech takes me to his truck and whips out a 3-ring binder with pre-prepared pricing which was REAL high. We opted for another company and paid alot less for the same thing. I guess those pink trucks are expensive. And those radio ads really rub me the wrong way now.

I'm so glad I called this company. A.C. broke down today and they fixed it today! What a blessing! With this South Texas heat, who wants to wait for service! They were friendly, efficient, and have reasonable prices.

Hector has been our service tech on three different sites. He is always professional, knowledgeable and prompt. Hess service is truly exceptional, not just among HVAC companies but in general. You can sense the difference from the greeting when you call the main number to the quality of the actual service.

Fantastic team of highly trained experts in AC repair and replacement. To get your AC fixed right the FIRST time, Hess Air should be your only call! I have made the mistake of trying to save a buck and ended up paying for that mistake! They fix problems the cheap guys make. Quality work, prompt, and courteous.

David has visited our home twice now, once for repair and the other for preventive maintenance. He is an excellent technician, very helpful and informative as well as professional and friendly! We are very happy with the service he provided.

We recently moved in to a new home and noticed that part of our home wasn't cooling as nicely as other parts of our home. We called Hess to come out and give us an estimate to remedy our problem. They sent a Tech and he said we should look into zoning but he didn't have enough knowledge on those types of installs. He said he would speak to someone with Hess air who had some knowledge on those systems and would get back to me. I didn't hear from them for a while... I call back and they send two techs. The same guy as the last visit along with another gentleman with more knowledge on zoning systems. He recommended installing different types of vents in our master bedroom(area not cooling as efficiently) as well as installing a return vent in the same room. So i ask as far a price, how much that would be, and they say they want to check with Mr. Hess for more guidance to rememdy our problem. They said he was away at conference or something to that nature and they would get back to me. It's now the middle of August and still haven't heard from them. Its been tripple digit heat here and I'm still dealing with a hot master bedroom. Time to look for some other company.

We called at 5:20 p.m. that our air conditioning unit was out and a gentlemen said a tech would be here between 630 and 7 p.m. After 7:30 and no tech was here, I called at 7:45 p.m. and talked someone that a tech would call me ASAP. 8:15 rolled around and still no call. I talked to a tech named Leo who told me he couldnt be here until Saturday morning because he had other customers. I told him that we were told someone would be here between 6:30 and 7:30 and he said well I didnt say it. We had a heated exchange and Leo basically told me off. We have done business with HESS Air in the past and I CAN PROMISE you we will never do business with them again. Cant live up to thier work and their techs seem to like to tell you off and use profanity as well.

I just had my ac unit serviced and repaired. The technician, Jorge Gonzalez, was "cool". He arrived on time, very professional yet easy to speak with. He took care of the problem, did not service unnecessarily and left me laughing in the cool air in my house. Thank you.

David did a wonderful job and was very helpful and knowledgeable. My family and I were going through a deep loss and Hess was quick and David went the extra mile to help us with our AC problem. He made the process easy and now the house is comfortable. I would definitely recommend Hess Air and David for any AC repairs! Very Happy! Thank you so much!

Beware, I have used them several times (No More) shame on me. Now when same problem they tell be they only warranty their work for 6 months to a year. Other time they drilled a hole through my home leaving a 4 foot PC pipe sticking out of my home. Their Quote to replace unite is $1,600 higher than other on same unit. Make sure you use others that will warranty their services much longer than Hess.

$184 dollars to fix an a/c unit blowing warm air. Their "fix" didn't work. No receipt was given. When I called the office, they said receipts must be requested. So I guess Hess doesn't normally give receipts? Cytech came out a few days later. Fixed the problem. They gave me a receipt without asking.

5/13/2016 Called them today since my AC froze over and they were here within an hour. Technician had it fixed within another hour and the prices were really reasonable! 5/27/2016 had them come out to my house 5/25/2016 one more time since it froze over and they told me it has to be my blower since everything else is working fine. So since my whole unit is only 3-4 years old they needed to check to see if it's under warranty so they would just charge me to swap it out. Well I've been waiting since 5/25 since they said they would call me to let me know if it was under warranty and well today it froze over again. It's a Sunday and there is nothing they could do today since everything is closed and I have to wait till tomorrow to get an answer. So if you are looking for a reasonably priced company that probably won't get back to you and might not be able to diagnose the problem the first time, choose this company. If by any chance this gets fixed by tomorrow I will update the 1 star to a 3-4 depending on how long it last and how much it is.

They came right out to service my AC unit and really made me feel valued by coming out immediately. It was very easy to work with them - both the office staff and the techs themselves were great.
