The Odeon is well reconstructed, including the stage. It also has a superb location on flank of the Acropolis hill with Athens in the background.

It was a relaxed Sunday morning. No people around, no event in the Odeon. However, I could listen the music or the tenors lyrics and recall the images of theater performance or concerts held therein some summer nights before.
A great structure for it's time (the roof was made out of wood that was hold with columns on sides and not in middle, like this people had better view when watching, only building in that period with this characteristic). Plenty of space to sit and chill.
wonderful place to visit. usually there is plenty of events taking place here in summer, most of them being theatrical performances of ancients dramas but there are musical events too. in winter there is not much action but you can always admire the beautiful building
The fact that this is still functioning is mind blowing. To be clear it's renovated in modern times. But the fact that the wall behind the scene is still as built by the Romans and that the theatre sits in the same place it always has is awe inspiring.
The a acoustics are impeccable and visibility is great even from the angles.
And when you look around you're surrounded by history. Behind you (as you watch the show) the temple of Athena Nike is visible.
I love this place and all this area.
Acropolis is one of the most good vibes place in the world you feel it when you walk in this streets, magic place!!!
A must visit when you visit the Acropolis. Amazing Structure!
A truly beautiful place for a theater as the Greek always aimed for. Stunning views! The place itself is magnificent. Originally hosting 5000 people it is simply incredibly huge and beautiful. Primarily used as a venue for music it has incredible acoustics. Definitely a must see when you visit the Acropolis of Athens!
