A co-worker referred me to this office. My physician is Dr. Kevin Lee and he is excellent! He is very patient, attentive, and always respond to my health concerns whether it would be via phone, email or office visit. He and his staff conduct follow-ups, and I never have long wait times during appointments. He and his staff are very punctual and I hate to say this but I actually enjoy visiting this office.

I am a Navy veteran and I am proud to tell anyone to visit his office! Bedside manners are EXCELLENT!!

I've been seeing Dr. Cooper for years. He's great and the practice is very convenient. Their hours and procedures are great and I have never thought of moving since I started coming here. There's always a Doctor to see in emergencies and having the lab on site makes one less stop for me when I need blood drawn.

Is this the Hermes of pediatrician offices? Probably not, but they certainly behave as though they are. Extremely self-important reservation desk, as though they are doing you an enormous favor by scheduling your child for a physical five months in advance. We get it, you're highly sought after. But guess what, team, there are kinder ways to communicate your loftiness. Three separate dealings with this office to give them the benefit of the doubt, and now we will take our business elsewhere.

Just called for an appointment for follow up for my son with respiratory failure post hospital follow up. Chose Silverstein as PCP, but the man in the phone told me that it s just someone assigned and dr Silverstein is not accepting new patients. I m sorry, did he not hear me say I chose the doctor and my son almost died in the hospital from flu and pneumonia?
Zero help, zero compassion. Happened today at 4:30pm as we were being discharged from reston hospital. Terrible service and I m disappointed because our friends go there and referred us.

I have had very unacceptable experiences with them. Anytime I call in to make a prescription request they either forget to put in the request, or they take up to two weeks to get back to me. I always have to physically walk in at the front desk to remind them about my refill request and wait there for 30+ minutes. The people there are nice but that will only get you so far with your needs/health in my opinion.

I have to schedule my appointments for 3 hours from work because I wait about 45 minutes in the lobby (after my scheduled appointment) and then another 1/2 hour in the room. I used to see a doctor here who I loved but she has since either left the practice or has no availability. My lab work has been lost, the doctor/N.P. never pay attention. If it isn't something they can immediately figure out, I am obviously making it up because it can't exist.

I started seeing Dr. Cooper in 2018. My husband recently had some worrying symptoms and wanted to make an appointment with a doctor at this practice but was scared off by some of the reviews. I called to make an appointment and the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The gentleman I spoke with even took the time to make sure our new insurance was pulling up correctly in their system. Dr. Cooper was booked but they were able to get my husband in to see Dr. Weaver the same day. My husband had a great appointment with Dr. Weaver, who was very thorough and put our minds at ease. The only negative thing I would say is that the online patient portal does not work well for new patients (we had trouble trying to get an appointment online), but once you're a patient, it's great to be able to access results online. I would absolutely recommend this practice.

Do not go to this practice. You will be bamboozled. They are not really very good doctors either. Let me tell you about a few of my visits. I had been on the same medications for several years and it was a therapeutic dosage. I had no symptoms and it was perfect. I moved from Maryland to Virginia and just needed a new PCP because I had been going to emergency care when I got sick and finally needed a physical for work. My doctor questioned my diagnoses over and over despite having supporting documentation and effective treatments. Then she insisted that she be the doctor to write my prescriptions. Her insistence actually made me uncomfortable. I finally came in to have her write my prescription for some medication but then, she told me I had to come in every 3 months for refills. I explained that I can't afford office visits every 3 months as I have a high deductible and would have to pay $150-$300 per visit just for prescriptions. I actually went to a different doctor for my prescriptions after that and guess what- No issues! They understood that I can't afford that many visits, they helped me understand that if my medications needed to be adjusted I would have to go back to a specialist to have a new dosage explored. And they even allow me to call in for refills if I run out before my next annual visit. So.. yeah. i didn't get anymore prescriptions from Dr. Rentz.

Then, I scheduled my appointment for my physical. I had mentioned this when I called saying I wanted to schedule a physical and explained I was also having trouble concentrating but this is why I needed my annual physical. and the front desk scheduled me only for a 15 minute appointment to discuss ADD. While I was there, she explained that I was not there for a physical but for a 15 minute office visit. I told her that I wouldn't have come in if I knew that because I can't afford to pay for the visit out of pocket. I am working part time while I build my business so every penny counts. I have health insurance but I wouldn't have scheduled an appointment just to discuss concentration..

She said 'sorry' and explained there was nothing she could do but prompted me to tell her about my trouble concentrating. She told me that it probably isn't ADD because I didn't do badly in school as a child, handed me a piece of paper to fill out about ADD and told me to leave it in the room.

Long story short, I ended up getting billed for this appointment. And I had to pay out of pocket which was more than 2x as much as I paid for a 1 hour appointment with a specialist to formally be diagnosed with ADD. When I spoke to the billing department they told me I should have demanded a physical and refused to leave until I got one. Then they told me I should have walked out of the room and told the front desk that I did not want the appointment and I had to reschedule. How am I to know that if I say the magic words of "This is not the appointment I wanted" that I would not be billed nor would I be charged for a "canceled" appointment? Also, what kind of doctor's office suggests their patience demand any kind of service?

Just don't go to this medical practice. I see they are Privia Medical Group and I have clients that go to the office in Arlington. They are an awesome office. Very professional and friendly. I will be driving the 30 minutes to Arlington to go to the doctor now and I am filing complaints against Herndon Family Medicine.

I have used this place several times but i feel like the quality of customer care is not consistent. One time you come you get lucky everything goes well, next time you come things change. Note sure how to make of it, at least my niece got the treatment in the end but there were massive delays.

I have been coming to this practice for about 10 y...

I have been coming to this practice for about 10 years now and, honestly, every time I come my experience has been worse. The people at the front desk used to be so kind and now they act like they don t want to be there. The doctors are notoriously late. Seriously. If you schedule a 10am appointment, don t worry about getting there until 11am. You ll still probably be waiting on them. Making a sick person wait on you is extremely unprofessional. They need to better estimate the length of patient visits in order to make scheduling appointments more efficient.
I was waiting 45 minutes for my most recent visit. COVID NOTE: If you have traveled recently, they will not let you in the office for an in-person visit - even if you have been quarantining. I was honest and let them know that I had traveled recently, however I stuttered over my words and said the wrong arrival date by accident as I didn t have my train ticket in front of me. I quickly corrected myself and they still did not let me come in for an in person visit. They clearly do not stick to their policy of allowing people to come in a after a 2 week quarantine after travel. I hate to say this because I fully support all COVID-19 protocol, but if you have been traveling and following all guidelines, it might be best to just tell them you haven t traveled at all. We all know that they re seeing people who haven t traveled but have still been going to bars and parties without masks on and could have been exposed just as much as someone who has traveled. Again, I understand the protocol, but their enforcement of it has not been handled well.
That being said, my visits with the doctors here are always productive and enjoyable. With all of the stress around making an appointment and waiting, I would definitely suggest trying to find a different practice in the area.

Office reception sucks. When you call them for you...

Office reception sucks. When you call them for your prescription or for scheduling an appintment , You will always end up in long hold time. I feel their office staff is too lazy to upload lab results in their portal and you will have to follow up with them to get your lab results. A Nurse called me for prescribing some medicines and she told like the information has sent to pharmacy. I checked with pharmacy and they told that they hadn't received my prescription. I again called the doctor's office, nurse told me that doctor has not prescribed any medicine for me and after sometime she again told doctor has prescribed medicines but my pharmacy information has not updated and they asked me to update it. Overall experience for my health check is horrible here.

I have been going to Herndon Family Medicine since 1985 and I was surprised by some of the reviews I read - while they are not perfect and their office staff is rather cold and sometimes you have to wait to see the Doctor because things happen beyond their control and it's the same in everywhere. The Doctors provide quality care beyond comparison and they may have to take more time with some cases which puts them behind schedule. So if you are looking for a really good Doctor you can find one here at HFM - I see Dr. Cooper and even though I moved and hour away I find he is worth the trip.

I have nothing but great things to say about my experience with this practice. I have never experienced prolonged wait times. The facility is clean, modern, and seems to have all the latest in technology. The staff, from the front desk to the nurses are all extremely courteous and friendly. I see Dr. Plescia and he is one of the two best doctors I have worked with in my life. (Of course it helps that he is also a Red Sox fan.) He is very thorough and thoughtful and is always willing to take the time to discuss your medical issues with you in great detail.

I normally do not write bad reviews however, Dr. Lee knows my medical health and aware that I go to another doctor for my health. It must was his nurse that requested a doctor visit for a refill. Fine with me you all just lost out on a patient, I am not contributing to you all purchasing a new space. Have a great practice I will find a new one.

The office staff here is awful. My husband was dealing with an urgent issue and the staff treated us like we did not matter to them at all. We waited almost 2 weeks for a response from a doctor and were given inaccurate test results over the phone. We will not be returning here and I don t recommend it to anyone. This place clearly does not care about their patients.

This is a VERY busy practice, however, there is an efficient process in place that keeps the waiting times low. Also, the ladies at the front desk are nice.

I see Po Storrs, Nurse Practitioner, and I absolutely love her. She is patient and really listens to me. I also like Terry, who is one of the nurses. She is very empathic and caring.

I highly recommend this practice.

I have been going to this doctor s office for almost 2 years and I love it. I had to see numerous doctors because of their terrible bedside manners but Dr. Lee is my favorite doctor. I refuse to see another doctor because it s hard finding a doctor who cares about his patients. The office staff gives off a warm and friendly vibe and I love his nurses. I can t wait to go back and see them again for my physical!
