Very impressed with this medical centre. Bright, modern, spacious building, very clean and well maintained. Very good range of consultants. Lots of parking (not free though) and several electrical car charge points. Just 2 minutes off the motorway.

Nothing but the highest regards for the Hermiage. All our family and extended family at some point have had to avail of its services from A&E to surgery to fast responded on general medical issues. A&E open 7 days a week too.
Hi went to the Hermitage Medical clinic for Rotary Cuff repair on entry to the clinic at615 am I was met by pleasant caring helpful staff could not do enough to help me nurses doctors careers receptionist and security oops and phiso nurses I wish to thank you all for a very short but very pleasant stay. Stay safe though out this crises and thanks again Patrick O Reilly 05 08 1965 God bless you all
Just had cataract surgery performed by Dr. W Lee two days ago, what an amazing job he did. I opted for local anaesthetic and it was painless. The following morning it was like someone had switched on the lights in the sky. I can't believe the difference in my sight, I would definitely recommend Dr lee and most definitely the Hermitage, I had a cataract removed from the other eye 5 years ago in a public hospital and there's no comparison, I take this opportunity to thank every member of staff at the Hermitage that I had contact with during my visit, absolutely top class care. The worst service you can get even paying for it. I would not recommend at all this clinic. Came to do my Covid test and they don t have enough staff so I had to wait for 1 hours until they come back from lunch??? No options available to do the test in the afternoon...! No worth at all the 200 I have to pay for it. Disgrace of place!
They are the worst hospital for after care. Money is their top priority and the health or needs of the patient is bottom of their list. Disgraceful attitude and service and a high rate of infection
Tuck my wife to the heritage we were their for4 hours they could not diagnose shingles went their 2 dates later 10 hours later still could not and a nurse was able to tell her.
Place was comfortable to stay. But the food is diabolical. You would think in a private hospital they would have that sorted. I got my family to bring food into me.
Emergency service is something out of the dark ages! There last Sunday, supposed to open at 10am didn t it was 10.30am, very sick people waiting. GDPR regulations broken left, right and centre. Pathetic doctor, no radiographer (had to be called in if requested), this will take over 1 hour! Wasted 3 hours for nothing. Will never go here again! Went to VHI clinic in Dundrum in and out in 50mins with X-ray, fabulous service.
Emergency department was very helpful, the receptionist here is amazing (as I watched while I was waiting.) Nurses are very kind & reassuring. All doctors & members of staff were great.
I've had reason to visit the a&e a few times and had to stay in the hospital once for a week. I've always found them courteous and helpful. Staff, admin and consultants all very good. A&E can get a little slow at times but it's well worth it. I see some complaints about cost of parking but it's the same as any other hospital. Highly recommend it.
My son visited the ER with abdominal pain he was seen to in 30 minutes and tests were done to identify the problem..this took 3 hours or so. I must say they were very thorough, doctor and staff were excellent. Please note you do have to pay on your visit..
Terrible aftercare and over priced even with private health insurance. The facilities are very good but the organisation is inefficient and lack any aftercare. I have had 2 operations here and after both I did not receive ANY advice on how to care for my wound. I called up dozens of times post surgery and nobody called me back or gave me advice, they just transferred my call on to a voice mail. They also never sent me any letter to confirm my operations etc. Even though I have very good private health insurance, the cost of xrays etc are to be paid by the patient. These are far more expensive when compared to other hospitals I've been.
Excellent hospital highly recommend. Brought my husband in and he was seen within a few minutes, Doctors did an amazing work on his injury even though they were unusually busy. A week later I when to Beaumont with chronic pain and was waiting a hour just to see a nurse ! and the place was like a circus. Walked out in the early hours of the morning and came over to the hermitage, was seen, all tests and scans completed within a few hours or so. Excellent first class service from 5 star Staff, nurses and Doctors Can't recommend enough 5*
The nurses are extremely caring and I have always been looked after very well by my consultant professor paul neary he goes above and beyond to help you I wouldn't go anywhere where else .
Good but expensive as another reviewer put it. The in-patient food wasn t marvelous, but it was adequate, and the nursing/catering staff were willing to get tea/toast/etc for patients at all hours day and night. Glad to have the Hermitage. What other choice do we have, there no longer is a functioning public healthcare system, but we continue paying for all its legacy costs. Sad. Long live the Hermitage.
So disappointed and annoyed with the service I got in this hospital, in as a public patient because of covid 19, still have not sorted my problem. I was informed today that I would have to pay from the 1st. Lovely staff in day care but unfortunately money comes before peoples health
"Lets charge these poor sods 2.50 an hour to park in the middle of nowhere. And lets make them check in at least an hour before there is any chance of seeing a consultant so that we get more cash out if them" Why is it that as a customer we have to pay these rip iff merchants for the privilege of parking. Its liffey valley for gods sake not the city centre. I don't pay to park in the shopping centre? Staff are lovely in there in fairness.
Our family has been more or less living in the Hermitage Medical clinic for the past year or so. My late mother was cared for by Dr. Kahn Cardiologist who was utterly fantastic throughout the last years of her life. The staff and other professionals in this hospital are in a league of their own and I can highly recommend this hospital as best in its field
I attended the Emergency Department Hermitage Clinic on 14/11/19. Signed in by a friendly and smiling receptionist, and triaged by an equally friendly and professional nurse from the Philippines. Dr David Foley introduced himself to me, and I have to say, I've never met a more thorough and professional gentleman in my lifetime. He examined me with a fine tooth comb, and explained everything to me in layman's terms, and no bull s**t. He even contacted external agencies, in an attempt to get to the root of my illness. And yes he did get me sorted. Dr Foley keep up the good work, you are a credit to your profession, and don't ever loose that lovely homely, down to earth attitude, that you possess. Regards Gerard Small*****
Whilst my procedure was successful I found the pre and post op care lacking. You are effectively abandoned when you arrive until someone comes to get you. Post op I felt like I was a burden to the nursing staff they were quite scarce.
Thank you so much to the hermitage a and e .and the wonderful ladies at the emergency desk .for saving the day. My Daughter arrived there today in a terrible destressed state with colon pain. Having first pressented at Mater private only to More
Had surgery in January and attended different departments for sometime before the surgery. Very positive experience with great care at all times. Thank you to all for your kindness, words of encouragement and positivity at all times .You were all fantastic . Thank you for making a difference. To name a few Dr. D O Donnell and his team in Radiology Nurse Oscar Dr Ali and Jenny. Yvonne, Physiotherapist. All the day and night staff on St Luke's. Keep smiling ,Keep making a difference every day. Yvonne Birrane Sweetman.
Lovely hospital, beautiful location but parking has been an issue on my last 3 trips. Had to park on the grass which I don't like doing as it damages it.
This is a great hospital. It's always very clean and the staff look like they are proud to work there. They used to have a little shop but it's not there anymore. They have moved all of the books amd magazines and snacks to the Cafe on the first floor. Everything here is extremely clean and staff are always polite. Woukd definitely recommend this place if you have the choice.
Our 11yr old son has just had a tonsillectomy adenoids removed and when I said he was suffering from nose bleeds Mr Brendan Conlan also done his nose, the staff were fantastic from initial check in, anesthesia to surgical team nurses and catering staff, Harry was total comfortable and is recovering really well, they were so good which helped us as parents as it's hard enough when anyone let alone your child is having surgery. If in the future any of our family need treatment I wouldn't hesitate to go back to this fantastic facilitie in a really wonderful setting
State of the art consulting rooms. Nice restaurant on site which is important given that it is a distance to the next nearest eatery. Thre is also a lovely oratory on site. Paid parkjng only for both patients and visitors which is quite expensive and unfair given thst there sre no free parking / on street parking options nearby
I went for an MRI on Tuesday 24th at 7pm. I was greeted by friendly admin staff and was then handed over to Stephen Burke. He made me feel right at ease, couldn't have asked for a more helpful and kind person. The radiologist on that night was also extremely nice. Overall a very pleasant experience. Well done to all.
I had a recent surgical admission to HMC. I found everyone and everything to be excellent from reception to admissions to clinical care. I would have no hesitation in recommending Hermitage Clinic to anyone. Special thanks to Prof Con Timon.
Good location, fast service, very clean and modern, many doctors, practitioners, nurses, admin staff and service staff in general, do not take appointments for babies under 3 months, very well sorted canteen, there's a chapel, lots of paid parking ( )
1st class medical facility/hospital/ emergency centre. Conveniently located beside Liffey Valley Shopping Centre. Basically a private A&E department, test centre and hospital. Speedy access to consultants, not junior doctors as in public hospitals. Private health insurance a good idea, as certain procedures & tests can be pricey such as MRI or CT Scans. You pay E150 to use the facility for anything even if you have health insurance, but bear in mind you have to pay E100 to attend the depressing, appallingly understaffed and poorly equipped emergency departments in public hospitals if you don't have a Medical Card. No contest between the 2. The Hermitage also has it's own private carpark & is highly recommended. 5 stars.
Every member of staff we dealt with were incredible. They made my young daughter feel very special when she was here for her surgery. She was taken care of extremely well and the doctor did an amazing job. Thank you very much.
Very unprofessional, rude and unhelpful doctors/receptionist/admin when trying to get expensive private consultations! Disappointing to say the least. Will never set foot or contact this place again, I will certainly not spend my money where it isn't welcome! And certainly cannot trust these "professionals" with such service...
All medical matters were first-class. However, I am most disappointed at the awful pidgin-Irish language used in the multi-lingual notice in the lobby. The notice was 'professionally' produced and, no doubt, costly. Is it beyond the wit and capability of the management of this prestigious establishment to ensure that a notice in our National Language is correct and legible? And to pay good money for such pidgin-Irish adds insult to injury. I wonder what the Consultant on your staff list who uses the Irish version of his name thinks of the notice? A sign of professional excellence it is most certainly not.
I had a cateract removal today and I would like to thank Mr ravi kumar my consultant who is very professional and kind. I would also like to thank Mia in day care a very professional hardworking and kind nurse who looked after me today. As a retired nurse I can honestly say she is amazing. Once again thank you to all the hardworking staff in the hermitage . They work under considerabke stress, especially now with covid and I have the height of respect for them all. Thank you everyone respectfully Anne mc cabe
I work with hospitals all over the world & the admin here is the worst I have ever experienced. Extremely difficult to arrange appointments, so much so my treatment was delayed by an additional couple of weeks due to this.
The actual medical staff are very nice, it's just that the admin is so bad it takes dozens of calls & emails to get to see anyone.
Accompanied my husband who had to get a treatment done here. They are professional, quick and the place is clean. I decided to wait in cafe which had varied options and everything good.
