This place is great. We try to go eat here every time we travel to and from San Antonio but it gets so crowded. Food is good and prices are too.

If you want to drink they have a decent bar if your looking for great tasting food drive to KK Steakhouse and Salon in D Hanis. Herman s could be an amazing restaurant if they knew how to use a little seasoning. Everything is bland and the $29 ribeye taste like a $12 steak. Give us some flavor Hermann s Please
Local Pulse for a 3rd Gen. steak house friendly faimly and fun.
Worth the drive from San Antonio!! Delicious, juice steak, creative pecan chicken breast and the best creamed corn. Missed out on the cobbler, but that means we need to come back. We sat outside and our kiddo played and got lots of energy out Our server was also very sweet, and she made us feel like valuable guests.
I am not new to Herman Sons at all as I have been going there since I was a little kid and I am now 43. This is my first review for them however. I have not lived in Hondo for awhile but still like to drive out there for a pepper steak. There is just nothing else like it anywhere else. It seems so easy to duplicate too but it is not. I am glad Bryce is keeping this restaurant open.
Although it's 120 miles from home, this is the second time we've been nearby since we found this restaurant and the second time we've loved their food and service. We'll eat hear again next time.
Their ribeye steaks are consistently the same and great.
Nice, and old place, also can have a party or banquet there. The back is amazing, I would go there for a get together
Awesome food, great family environment, and the employees are friendly. Menu selection is good and price isn't to bad.
Best place to eat in town! Great food, friendly, attentive staff and management that knows its customers. The attached shop, J. June, and the weekend entertainments are a real plus!
I had a Sirloin Steak and I know Sirloin is a tougher cut of beef but it was pretty chewy. It also tasted fishy like it was being stored beneath leaky fish, I hope that was just me. Other then that the waitress was good and the overall dining experience was nice considering theirs just not much in Hondo.
