The Heringer family has been farming in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta region for over 150 years. In 1868, John Christian Heringer purchased a piece of land in Clarksburg with the intention of growing grapes. He planted his first vines on what is now known as the Old Vine Zinfandel block. Over time, he expanded his vineyard to include other varietals such as Petite Sirah and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Today, Heringer Estates is run by sixth-generation farmer Mike Heringer and his wife Lisa. They are committed to sustainable farming practices that preserve the land for future generations while producing high-quality grapes that make exceptional wines.
