Great place to visit , we missed the regatta by a week but the town and river were still busy. Would recommend a trip on the river with Hobbs river cruises, it's a great way to see and hear about Henley and the river Thames.

Wonderful atmosphere and lots of rowing races to watch. Great place for people watching. Strict dress code in enclosures. Art gallery and well stocked shop. Lovely bandstand..with great selection of tunes. Parking expensive and really difficult..best to pre book. Eye wateringly expensive refreshments and sundries within enclosure. Fireworks on the Saturday night.

One of the great traditions in England and if you are interested in this sport then Damenes Henley runs about the second last weekend in June and the gentlemen's Royal Henley 2 weeks later. Be aware of a lot of spectators so it is a must to book hotel and probably also dining well in advance

I had my first Regatta experience this year (2019) it was tremendous. I was lucky enough to go every day and really get Into the rowing. The hospitality is second to none. The whole experience was absolutely fantastic. It brings so much to the town. I just loved people watching while enjoying a glass of Fizz.

A truly wonderful few days with marvellous weather. Plenty to see and do. V busy but all adds to the atmosphere. The races were exciting culminating in the finals on Sunday. A perfect quintessential English experience where everyone was well turned out and well behaved irrespective of which birth cohort you belonged to! Fireworks were v good too on the Saturday evening.

Fabulous event. Save up all year, then blow your cash on a taste of the high life and have a stupidly brilliant weekend! Highly recommended - do it at least once. Stuck it on the bucket list!
I'm going back every year!

Oh boy. Very few things are more British than Henley. It's not as posh as Ascot but quite up there. Good luck getting tickets to the Stewards' Enclosure, haha.
And the US took the 2019 Kings Cup!!!

Everyone is drunk from early morning. Mostly dressed like they are going to Oceana or some sort of Students Union night. No one cares about the races. Just getting drunk and puking. Would not recommend. If you want to experience the races avoid weekend events and go on a weekday.

Amazing week in Henley. Very excited to see the Kings Trophy being contested for and for the extra 2 nations invited to compete (Germany and the Netherlands). The weeks rowing was fiercely competitive whilst the food, drink and ambience set by the Regatta was amazing. If you get the chance to visit this once in a lifetime experience, don t miss the chance!
