Classy historic sporting club with lots of social life as well

I've been a member almost since birth. I have countless memories there as a child, and I am still making new ones there as an adult. It is a place where people can go to relax, breath and grow.. whether it's healthwise through working out or playing sports in the most positive sports environments one could find, or socially through meeting a lot of good people with smiley faces.

Very good club, one of the best in Egypt, we suffer a lot to find a parking place in Heliopolis branch, need closed air conditioned places for kids to play in summer, should have a digital portal or mobile app to communicate with members and create a better social community

This place is truely a gem. Never changes in a ever changing world.

Have a lot of sports activities like soccer, basketball, volleyball, handball, swimming, gymnastics, badminton, table tennis, tennis courts, water polo, squash and more.
Also many social activities is available.

Till today one of the best clubs in Egypt, but it needs renovations all the time.

The classiest sporting club there is... Don't get too excited though, it's stupendously expensive!! Really chi-ching!!

It is my favourite club as it has a section special for elders. I used to go there since youth bcz it is quiet.

Nice place to play any sort of sports, socialise and have a relatively cheap however good quality food

Small and crowded, some members are a shame on humanity like a guy called Akram Tinawi who called himself the artist banker although we discovered his law and labor violations inside the bank he's managing with tons of inappropriate behavior rumors which could be believable when comparing to his other violations.

I feel it is like home

It had always been like home since I was a toddler. It's the only place you can leave your kids alone safely. The social part of the club has always been the special part.

The best option for kids in Heliopolis. Very chaotic on weekends.

An elegant social and sports club in Masr El-Gedida "Heliopolis" area of Cairo.

Heliopolis Sporting Club was founded in Cairo on January 1, 1910, by the Cairo Electric Railways and Heliopolis Oases Company, which managed the club until December 31, 1921. On January 1, 1922, the club members took over the management by a contract signed with the company.

The activities of the club included water polo, swimming, diving, squash, tennis, golf, cricket, hockey, bridge, bowling, soccer, handball, basketball, Volleyball, Speed ball, Ballet, Gymnastics, Snooker, Athletics and different kinds of dancing.

In 1947, the area of the club was reduced to its present size (around 19 feddans) after the company took back the land of the golf course. Golf was cancelled after the frequent objections of club members to the large expenses incurred by the game, which, after all, was not played by many members.

Quiet, pleasant, clean. Great play area for toddlers-- No Smoking allowed around children.

Still a great place to exercise, and relax during the weekdays, but in the weekend it's very busy and noisy. And the parking is a nightmare everyday

The club is really fun with a lot of interesting people but they need to work on cleanliness

I'm very disappointed at the service of the front desk. None of them speak any English, and they kept asking me to wait for one minutes but I waited three minutes and there was not any sound at the other end. Definitely not a foreigner friendly place.

Extremely comfortable and cosy place to spend your free time

Different kinds of sports are available and there's a nice area where you can have a cup of coffee as well.

Im.a member in te club , its pretty decent old club almost 110 years old pretty clean with low pricess
