This place is a joke. I seen a doctor at this hospital for leg and lower back pain. I told my doctor I had a spondylolisthesis, which I'm sure was causing my pain. He wanted me to take an X-ray. So I agreed to take an x-ray. I ask the X-ray apartment how much is it going to cost because I knew my insurance wasn't going to cover it. They said around $350.
2 months later, I get a bill for $850 for the X-ray and a letter from my doctor saying I have a spondylolisthesis in my lower back.
Thanks Heart of the Rockies hospital for charging me almost $1,000 to tell me what I already know. I'm still in pain and not sure what I'm going to do.

If I was shot in the face, I would drive to Denver before going here again. Both my wife and I have received NO care from 4 visits to this facility. One of those visits resulted in tragedy. My most recent trip, both nurses and the physicians assistant refused to answer my questions saying, "you'll have to talk to the doctor". When the doctor arrives, he is in and out in 30 seconds. I spent 4 hours here just to have "the doctor" tell me "you need to get a doctor". I was diagnosed with a seizure when I asked why, they replied "thats what you said it seemed like". As a patient, I kind of expected them to use the info from the tests, NOT my description of an event that I was unconscious for.

Worst hospital I have EVER been to. If you want to live or your loved ones to live.... DO NOT TAKE THEM HERE. WORST hospital by fair. If no stars were possible I would. They need to shut this hospital down. Seems like all the "doctors" here have been certified from a cereal box. I have many many issues with these people.

By far the worst run and operated ER I've ever had to take my daughter to. How does a kid come in with a broken leg and your options on a clean break do not include resetting it immediately. This emergency rooms treatment is to put it in a soft cast wrap it up go home and in two or three days do a follow up with the doctor. WOW it's called calcium deposits if a leg is not set right the calcium starts to build around it to heal itself the leg will not heal straight. The calcium deposits start to develop within 10 hours of the injury. Can someone please hire some competent people to work at this Hospital.

Get a helicopter ambulance membership and get flown to the decent hospitals near the Denver and the springs. This place is nightmare fuel. Have heard so many awful stories and I have seen 5 of their dr's, the ones I haven't wasted time with have bad reputations.

I have been attempting to allow hrrmc to redeem themselves, instead of a ut they stuck their fingers underneath my ribs to tell me I'm fine and my liver is not enlarged, I got the ut done anyways and guess what? IT IS ENLARGED. THANKS IRVING NP.
I have been using Wiggington as my primary care who continues to dismiss my concerns as well as Monagle np with peak gi through the hospital. The np insists she consults with actual dr's if necessary but doesn't seem that way as she never writes down and gets back with any questions I have she just commits to her treatment plan and dismisses all my concerns.

If you have anything other than a sprain or broken bone, don't waste time here just gear up to go to the springs. Drive 2 hours or waste 6 months with hrrmc and potentially years off your life.

HRMMC has raised the hospital district mill levy ( by 5.5 percent) we all pay as property owners in Chaffee and parts of Fremont and Saguache Counties. Why we taxpayers have to subsidize the hospital in the year 2021 is beyond me. More

My daughter had emergency surgery for her appendix here. This hospital was amazing!! The surgery team arrived in less then 30min and everyone treated us so kindly.

This place is a terrible. The ER is very dismissive especially towards pain! I ve been in several times and each time I hear passive aggressive responses like that was a quick fix when dealing with my chronic disease that I ve suffered through for hours! Stop being dismissive and trying to minimize what someones going through without being fully educated on the matter!
