About Health strategy and delivery foundation
The Health Strategy and Delivery Foundation (HSDF) is a not-for-profit, non-governmental organization that is dedicated to tackling complex and fundamental challenges in health and social systems across Africa. The foundation was established with the aim of improving the quality of healthcare delivery in Africa by providing innovative solutions to some of the most pressing health challenges facing the continent.
At HSDF, we believe that access to quality healthcare is a fundamental human right, and we are committed to working towards achieving this goal. Our team comprises highly skilled professionals with extensive experience in public health, policy development, research, and program implementation. We work closely with governments, private sector organizations, civil society groups, and other stakeholders to develop sustainable solutions that address critical gaps in healthcare delivery.
One of our core areas of focus at HSDF is strengthening health systems across Africa. We recognize that weak health systems are a major barrier to achieving universal access to quality healthcare on the continent. To address this challenge, we work with governments and other stakeholders to develop policies that promote effective governance structures for health systems. We also provide technical assistance for capacity building initiatives aimed at improving service delivery at all levels of the healthcare system.
Another key area where HSDF has made significant contributions is in maternal and child health. Despite progress made over recent years in reducing maternal mortality rates globally; sub-Saharan Africa still accounts for more than half of all maternal deaths worldwide. At HSDF we recognize this as an urgent issue requiring immediate attention; hence our commitment towards developing innovative solutions aimed at reducing maternal mortality rates on the continent.
We have also been actively involved in addressing infectious diseases such as HIV/AIDS through various programs aimed at increasing access to prevention services such as testing & counseling services; treatment & care services including antiretroviral therapy (ART); prevention-of-mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT) services among others.
In addition to our work on strengthening health systems across Africa; HSDF has also been involved in promoting social and economic development on the continent. We recognize that health is closely linked to other aspects of development such as education, employment, and poverty reduction. As such, we work with governments and other stakeholders to develop policies that promote social and economic development while also improving access to quality healthcare.
At HSDF, we are committed to achieving our vision of a world where everyone has access to quality healthcare regardless of their socio-economic status. We believe that by working together with governments, private sector organizations, civil society groups, and other stakeholders; we can make significant progress towards achieving this goal.
In conclusion; the Health Strategy and Delivery Foundation is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of healthcare delivery in Africa through innovative solutions aimed at addressing critical gaps in health systems across the continent. Our team comprises highly skilled professionals with extensive experience in public health policy development research program implementation among others.
