This salon is amazing from start to finish! Beautiful and clean. The owner, Gale, introduced herself and is so so sweet. I have been to this location quite a few times with different stylists. I have to say my favorite so far has been Alex Bo. She was very nice and welcoming. I felt like she really listened to what I was looking for and even gave advice. Alex was very thorough and engaging in conversation. I am very happy with how my hair turned out and I will definitely be back! :)

I love getting my hair done by LJ. She is such a positive and energetic person, on top of being an incredibly talented stylist with so much skill, experience, and taste for fashion. I love this salon. During these uncertain COVID19 times, Headlines the Salon, did a great job making me feel at ease and they were conscious to help me stay healthy. Multiple precautions were taken to make this happen.
In the meantime, the front desk staff did an impeccable job of checking me and didn t make it awkward at all. Gina, my stylist is a color expert. I know she can make anyone look amazing. I love my red-head color she selected for me. It truly is a talent to create a customized color formula.

Great front desk staff! Always smiling and accommodating. Brooklyn was my stylist...she s awesome! As a man, I prefer strong hands for the head massage phase of the hair reduction process. Let s just say Brooklyn needs no assistance opening a jar of pickles. I had several compliments within the first hour of returning to work. Will be back here for sure!

There is no other salon that can compare to Headlines, the best of the best. I have been cross country to all the top salons , because moving, there is no comparison to Headlines. Every one in the salon is so well prepared to take over anything that has to be done. I see no Prima Donnas, they all have been well trained to share what ever anyone needs. Connie is my colorist and cut person, I just value her to the ultimate. The owner Gail, has got to be the best owner in the world. She runs that salon as smooth as glass. All other salons that I have gone to, cannot even compare to Headlines. I love it that I can go in, relax, and have no drama to observe. I trust Connie so much, I do not tell her what to do, I leave it all up to her. That is a lot of TRUST, especially seeing I am the pickiest of the Picky. I can relax and just enjoy my day there. The front desk staff always greet me like a friend, which I feel I am. They ask me if I need anything and then I am almost always greeted by my stylists. I am working with someone new recently and we are starting to know each other better. Even so, the experience is always pleasant, professional, and the services are tip top. I wouldn't even think of going anywhere else.

I have been a regular client of Headlines The Salon (HTS) for one year now and so this review will be very extensive. Unfortunately, I have moved to Texas so I will miss the HTS team dearly and will try my best to see them if I am ever in town (they're that awesome!).
Parking/Location - There's nothing worse than going to a hair salon and then having trouble to find parking. No need to worry because there's plenty of spaces all throughout the day because it shares the spaces with other businesses in the area. It's also conveniently close to Trader Joe's for any last-minute lunches/snacks.
Customer Service - HTS has been hands-down the best hair salon I've ever been to with consistent excellent customer service. They go beyond just providing drinks with your service (coffee, tea, champagne, and wine) but also provide cell phone chargers, checking in with you, and ease of booking appts via their app or online. They are also very transparent about their pricing and do not hesitate to help me understand the price breakdown. The biggest highlight is their extremely useful booking system (booking, email confirmations, and digital receipts). You can book appointments on their app or through Yelp. This make is so much easier for me to book because I often do not get a chance at work to call in AND it helps me to remember what services I have gotten done.
Stylist/Services - I have consistently received services from Anastasia (Ana) Nguyen at HTS. Before coming to HTS my hair was extremely damaged, brassy, frizzy, short, and incredibly awful. I was attempting to go blonder, but the previous stylist was not careful enough and caused more harm than good. It felt like I was in a vicious cycle of going from blonde damaged hair to brassy hair to really short frizzy hair because of the previous stylists. So, my first appointment with Ana was the Cezanne treatment. After getting the treatment I was amazed by how smooth my hair was in the San Diego humid summer heat. Because of the treatment, my natural curls didn't need much product and were perfect. After my Cezanne we talked about my ash blonde hair goals. Going blonder required a lot of maintenance and so over the course of a year we did two full highlights and about 3-4 partial highlights. Gradually we got it to where I wanted it to be and I was amazed by how much my hair has grown all the while it was healthy and blonder! Another service not always mentioned is their lather lounge! I love going in there because it was like an oasis and almost felt like a spa day for me. Anastasia Nguyen is meticulous and always consults with me for every service (even though I see her often lol), she is also honest and transparent with the appointment while giving me tips and advice on how to take care of my hair. Because of her, I was able to take care of my hair better and ultimately help me achieve my hair goals. She is seriously my hair guru and star stylist in the making.
Pricing - Yes, it is slightly more pricey than other salons but if you want quality hair then you should pay for quality prices. I have also learned in the past that going to cheaper salons was not only costing me more (having to go back more often) but it was also damaging my hair and causing me more stress without achieving the results I wanted. Every dollar I spent at HTS was so worth it.
Additional Highlights - I love how HTS works with local non-profits in the community and often times has events to support different causes. They also have a day where they educate the stylists which is awesome because it shows they are truly invested in their staff and ensuring they are learning new techniques or brushing up on old ones.
Overall, HTS is the best hair salon to go to because of their excellent customer service, well trained stylists, and involvement with the community.
Rachel G. just gave me the most amazing haircut!! She is patient, a perfectionist, great to talk to and always cuts my hair exactly like I ask. I have thick long hair and it is not easy to cut. Rachel seriously rocks. Thank you so much!

Beth Anne really listens to what I want my hair to look like. She s an excellent stylist. The salon is so beautiful inside and they take good care of their customers.
Lena is phenomenal! Not only is she a talented stylist, but she is a kind and genuine person. I have been a loyal Headlines client for many years. This is the one thing that I splurge on, and I feel that the service both from Lena and the Headlines staff is well worth it.
I have had a series of terrible hair treatments and a lot of money waste. I went to Alex and she was AMAZING. she s funny and listens. Very informative. I have wanted to get bangs for yearsss and she told me to just do it.. sooo I did! I LOVE THEM. headliners is my new home for hair. Would recommend to anyone!

Top tier hair salon ! Gayle -the owner- is such a professional and visionary. I felt safe and relaxed in my recent visit to have Courtney cut my hair. We talked about some changes I wanted to integrate and voila! It's only my second cut since Covid daze and it exceeded my hopes.
Kristina is by far the best aesthetician in town! I've been going to her for brazilian bikini waxes for years because she is the best and it doesn't hurt! She uses hard wax, which doesn't tear or burn the skin. She makes you feel relaxed and comfortable, especially given the delicate nature of the service. I'll keep coming back for Kristina because she's amazing!

Headlines is a top notch and innovative salon with cutting-edge trained professional stylists. My first consult with Lindi Chadwick she educated me on hair and what damages it ,then we created a plan for me. She recommended products and taught me how to dry my hair to help protect it. She colors my hair and it looks so natural it goes unnoticed when I get it done! My hair is getting strong again and finally growing to the length I always wanted.

Found LJ on Instagram and felt in love with her amazing work. Came to see her in December before leaving on vacation. She was extremely attentive and easy to explain what we would need to do to achieve what I was looking for. Finally I came back and I am so so happy every time I come to see her.
