We were recommended to go to Casa Jordi when I asked a hotel worker for a place that could accommodate a large group of us (16 Americanos).

It was a Friday night. We got there around 7 or 7:30 p.m., about an hour after we called ahead. The staff didn't seem ready for this large a mob. They didn't really have their people up to speed to handle us, even though that early (Spanish time) they didn't have many other customers.

The food was fair. Not super great. We felt service improved over time. But our overall impression was that Casa Jordi really is probably best for groups of four or fewer.

Traditional restaurant Old-fashioned atmosphere. Very new food. The hake was spectacular.

Great hidden local gem. If you want to know what real Catalan food looks like, this is one of the best places to try inside the city. Service was on point (which is not common) and every plate exceeded expectations. You can order half portions on some dishes, which makes it great for trying a bit of everything. In sum, the perfect place for a nice wine and a real Catalan culinary experience.

It's like taking a walk through the restoration of the 80/90s.

It is a very atmospheric place for families although I went with a friend and we were very well.
The treatment is impeccable and the quality, preparation and flavor of the dishes is 10!
They also have many facilities for celiacs, when I made the reservation and asked, they told me they had everything and nothing else to sit and they brought me the gluten-free bread toasted, a part prepared with tomato and another part without tomato, I thought it was a detail. They were super friendly

A hidden gem of Catalan cuisine. It is one of my family's go to places when we are feeling like a hearty, traditional Catalan meal. They are at their best in traditional stews, fish recipes, and all the classics. Just excellent cooking and service. It never disappoints.

The truth is that I am somewhat surprised by the high average rating of this restaurant. I recently went to dinner with a group, adequate traditional food, without anything to highlight, traditional starters (fuet, fried potatoes with octopus, salads, croquettes) and second to choose, the options according to the menu price. I consider it a bit expensive for the quality, for the same price you will find much better options. I will not repeat.
