5 stars because of the service. Our server, Daniel, was amazing. He was helpful and knowledgable. The wines were very good, and the atmosphere was worth visiting again. We really enjoyed our time.

We walked in and it was busy, but nobody acknowledged us (which is fine), but we waited over ten minutes and nobody even said "hello" or "we'll be with you shortly." We ended up leaving and going across the street to a smaller winery and had a much better experience.

This was more like a 'party winery' compared to other wineries closeby. The happy staff, the popcorn they served, their own wine song they sang, and etc. really gave us a party feeling which was kinda fun and made them unique at the same time. Atmosphere was good, wines tasted good and were reasonably priced.

It was a pretty busy crowded hopping place. The popcorn to munch on while wine tasting is a good compliment. There was a little bit to much going on with kids running all around causing a raukus with how busy it was so I didn't stay inside for very long. It was definitely more laid back and peaceful outside to sit by the pond or horse pasture. Overall very nice place with super good wine

This is my personal favorite winery. My wife loves the slushies and the staff is always friendly and helpful. This is also a family-friendly business. Although my 5 year-old daughter obviously can't sample wine, they have grape juice and non-alcoholic slushies for children. Highly recommend stopping by. It won't be your last time.

Wine is okay. There are plenty of other wineries on the trail with much better wine for both sweet and dry wines. Travel around and see the other wineries because the CUSTOMER SERVICE sucks royally. They don't have a big enough facility for regular customers let alone buses. They can not accommodate their customer base. The place to go with a group is Three Brothers Winery!!!

What a terrific winery! It's staff carries a wine experience like no other. Whether you are looking for a place to visit with your dogs, kids, grandparents, or college friends, this is the place for you. There is always complimentary grape juice, coffee, and the best popcorn on this side of the Mississippi. A definite must hit while visiting the Finger Lakes Wineries. Oh, and did I mention their wines are to die for? Everything from a bone dry red to a super thick dessert wine are waiting for you at this vineyard!

My husband and mother and father in law just experienced the premium wine tasting for $20 a person with Ron. It completey exceeded our expectations! We had such a personal experience being able to learn how the wine is made and taste all of the delicious dry wines that Hazlitt has to offer including their Reserve Reisling and Ice wine. It was such an amazing experience and I would recommend to anyone who is a fan of their wine to try this experience on their next visit. We got to enjoy pairings with the wine of cheese, pepperoni and breads with an in depth explanation of how each wine was made. I am not a fan of dry wine but thoroughly enjoyed everything I tasted!! Hazlitt has been and is still the #1 winery on Seneca Lake! Thank you so much for the experience. We will definitely be back again!

A bit of a disappointment compared to some of the other wineries in the region.

While this is the probably one of the oldest continuously operating growers of fruits and now grapes the wines leave much to be desired. The Rieslings, Gewurtztraminer the mainstays of the region lack the fruitiness and have the bitter taste that I don't like. According to the tasting room staff the best seller at the winery is Concord grape, which makes for a sweet desert wine but hardly noticeable as a dinner wine.

The tasting room is a worthwhile mention all on its own. The decor is great and the staff is knowledgeable but it may be the weekend that we were visiting but the room was over packed and the staff couldn't give the tasters enough attention to try the wines. Tastings are not cheap $5 which is more expensive then most others and it is only partially credited if you buy wine. There were a few times we had stopped in before but the lines for tasting were huge even though I can't say that the wines warrant such an attention.

This place is a hot spot on weekends and they stay open a little later than many others. The flights are a great deal and they even have a few ciders on the menu. If you like your Niagara and Catawba grapes, they have a cool deal on 4 sweet wines for around $35, which we definitely took advantage of. If you like sherry, definitely get a taste here, it is strong on the nose, but lots of caramel and dried cherries on the palate. The staff is nice and will gladly chat with you during your time here.

Always a great time visiting Hazlitt!! Unfortunately today we were just stopping in for a quick restock on our favorite wines, but their tasting experience is one of the best. Such a fun atmosphere and group of people.

I ll admit I m a little biased, since I grew up with tasting Red Cat and White Cat as my first wines when I became of age. However, Hazlitt serves much more than the two wines. I m a semi-sweet to sweet wine lover, so naturally I chose sweeter wines. (Check out my picture of my flight below for what I chose!) We thought we were gonna be a while waiting when we saw a line, but was not the case. A short ten minute wait got my party of six right in at the main bar. My friends and I had a splendid time and I decided to purchase a bottle of Red Cat Fizz and a Halloween White Cat. I wish it was easier to find a greater selection of Hazlitt products closer to Syracuse! Something that I thought was unique to the Seneca Wine Trail was that Hazlitt offers flight tasting by the glass between $2-$3. I like that option because you can really explore a various selection of wines so you aren t stuck with just red or just dry wines.

Place was very cute and the atmosphere was great. SomethingI didn't like was when I went back for wine the next day, there was a party of 7 who wanted to wine taste and they were told that the winery only serves 6 at a time. The people wanted to split up and they were told that it was the policy that they do not split up parties and 6 can only taste. What??? Why would it matter if they split 4 and 3? That in my opinion is NOT good customer service. If that were me and my party, we would have ALL left.

When we arrived, we were the first visitors of the day....by the time we left, the place was overflowing. We enjoyed some phenomenal wines and ciders. The "Halloween pairings" were a great treat - I'd recommend the almond joy and sherry combo!!!!! I just had to buy the sherry and will get the candy when I get home. Thanks Hazlitt Vineyards!!

We stopped with a group of seven a couple weeks ago and had a great time. Everyone from the staff members that gave us bracelets at the door to the cashiers when we purchased our wines were great! The bar tenders traded off during our tasting but let us know what was going on. We left and went to another winery and actually ended up coming back to hazlit since we enjoyed the venue and atmosphere so much. The pulled pork sandwich was really good and the wine slushes where awesome!

I was visiting town for Labor Day Weekend and decided to stop by for a tasting. I was not disappointed. The atmosphere was great and so was the staff! They had remarkable knowledge of their products (which were delicious and reasonably priced!). I would recommend this winery to anyone visiting the area. Hopefully I will be back soon!

It may lack the view of the other nearby wineries, but it makes up for it by having some of the best wines I've tasted during my 3 day visit. It has a beautiful pond by the outside bar, and the wine tasting is safely adapted for these strange times. I prefer the semi-sweet to sweet end of the spectrum, and this was one of 2 wineries we purchased wine to take with us. Highly recommend.
