One of the most pathetic places to attend intervie...
One of the most pathetic places to attend interviews. I applied for an Executive Human resources vacancy and I was called in for an interview by the manager. I took half day leave at work and attended it and the manager was happy and told me to sit through for an exam as well. I finished it and the next day received a call for a final interview with the head of human resources at hayleys advantis. I did attend that taking two hour permission at my workplace. The head of human resources was very happy with me and told me to stay back and informed me I was selected. I was asked to fill in my documents and they needed my certificates for verification while my HR interview was done where I was told about my comp package and etc finalised. While I was waiting in the lobby, the hr executive comes and informs me that they do not have approval yet and will inform me in two days once they receive approval. I waited and received no call, I tried contacting the manager and head of HR and I was told to wait. A month passed by and I lost hope and realised how pathetic Hayleys HR is and the people who call themselves professionals. To my surprise, I received a call from the Head of HR after three months and she told me how bad she felt about last time after offering me and couldn't proceed. She told me they are looking for an executive and would like to meet me and precisely told me the process will need to be started from scratch and no promises about hiring. This time I refused because why don't they understand we value our time too, we spend time for preparing. Travelling costs are involved as well as extra permission and loss of pay at work. How sad it is that the head of hr and manager at hayleys fail to understand this and proudly talk about employee delight index, employee engagement and candidate experience when a lot of damages is done to potential interviewees.
