Such a comfy hotel with nice neighborhood and great food.
Nice hotel shame about the weather.
The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room we stayed in was a little tired but I understand the hotel is due to be renovated soon.
The breakfast was good with a wide range of options, we didn't have an evening meal though so can't comment on the restaurant food.
Bar prices were about average for a hotel in my experience.
All in all I would stay here again and could be made a into a lovely hotel when it's renovated.
Great staff very clean and comfortable rooms. The bathroom is big hot water available all day long. The food is great at the restaurant. Breakfast is superior eggs royal is a must try. Loved the complimentary fizzy water along with coffee and tea.
I was there for a week for a course and have to say the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The food served at lunch was amazing and was like eating at a United Nations kind of buffet. All allergies etc were catered for and nothing was too much trouble. A special mention to Noemi, Ruby and Jody as they were the ones we met the most. But have to say all the staff were great. I would love to return in summer as the grounds outside look like they would be amazing and it is only 10 minutes into the centre of Oxford.
The hotel is located in a quiet place far from traffic but easy to get public traffic. The food in the restaurant is average maybe because of lack of staff. The reception people are very helpful. Shopping malls or grocery stores are 15 minutes walk away but not a problem for me personally.
To Oxford center takes 20 or 30 minuets by bus 3.
Nice quiet place with cozy and vintage atmosphere "like at home". Very friendly staff. There are good opportunities for organizing conferences on the basis of the hotel. There are also rooms for disabled guests. Liked the dining room (delicious) and the bar.
Absolutely disgusting. I'd recommend everyone to avoid staying in this 'four star' hotel. I've written a really long review about our experience at Hawkwell House but annoyingly it's over the character limit for Google but I will be uploading it to Tripadvisor so check out the reviews on there! In the meantime, have a look at my photos and decide for yourself.
If your tired of the normal hotel look and feel, come here. You will find a quiet place with cuteness all around. Friendly staff that smiles and holds real conversation. This used to be a home and is now a hotel. This is perfect for getting away from the hustle and bustle of routine travel. Also great for a family that is look for this kind of place. The rates are very competitive.
I had my wedding here and everything was brilliant. So thorough and value for money. Took the stress out of everything.
It's a nice cosy escape in Oxford within an easy reach from the highway.
