Everyone is HAPPY! The resort grounds are beautiful, the staff is amazing, even the vacationers are happy! Love this place!! We stayed at the sunset villa side with a great pool right outside our villa. They have TONS of activities for kids and my son really enjoyed playing kickball and dodge ball instead of always being on the water. My only complaint is that the villa itself definitely needed some renovations. Will stay here again, hopefully soon!!

I ve been sitting on this review for just a few days to truly gather my thoughts on this place.
If you want a one statement about it, overrated and overpriced. Don t let the website photos trick you.
Start from the beginning. They had emailed me, asking if there was anything they could do for me before I got there. As a matter a fact there was, so I quickly responded to the email ( this happened a 1 week before check in day) NO RESPONSE EVER. Not once. Okay I m not that upset. So the day of, I wanted to call and ask a quick question, call the 866 number, they say oh we will transfer you to the front desk. Never was connected to anyone, the only option was to leave a voicemail for a call back, which I did.
THEY DIDN TCALL BACK FOR 7 HOURS. Guys, I m already checked in and highly annoyed.
Whatever it s vacation let s keep it going.
Our waterfront view was a view of a broken pool constantly being worked on and construction noise. It was awful. Of course they can t move me to another room. Okay. We re still here.
only one restaurant was open which I can understand COVID makes things difficult, to bad the restaurant and over priced and not worth it. Angler and Ale. Cold rice, mediocre mahi tacos that you can get anywhere in Florida that all taste the same. Bland vegetable and our bill was $100 bucks for two people and we left still hungry, but that is also unfortunate because THERES NOTHING TO EAT.
Nothing. You have to wait til the marketplace opens to get any kind of snack or beverage. Pool closes early. Bar closes early. Who are they entertaining here?
Also, hope you love key lime because that s the only scent available for bathing
The carpet is old and musty, the lobby gives a nice ambiance but it s quickly diminished by all the faults around here. Bring your walking shoes, the grounds are not feet friendly, enjoy watching the captive dolphins to spend 250
Bucks to feed one.
Not to mention, they checked us out a day early on accident, we had to check back in, run the credit card again, I cannot even tell you how many times I saw money going in and out of my account from this place so keep an eye on your receipts friends. This place is all and all a facade for a good time. I wish I could get my money back because the only thing we got to do was watch people rebuild a pool and hang out with everyone else at the only open pool. Even the adult only area was closed. This place is beyond a money grab in my eyes. I live in Florida and will continue to vacation in the keys but never again will I spend a dime on this resort this place only gets two starts because the ice machine is the real rockstar here. Constant flowing ice which is good because no small fridge or anything. Go somewhere else or wait until they stop screwing people over with 300 dollar rooms with half the place closed down.
I attached a photo with me calling them numerous times. And no return call until hours later. Just sends you right to a voicemail and no one to actually help you. Love spending that kind of money on joke service. If you re not ready to be open because of COVID then DO NOT OPEN
Another photo showing the email before my visit that I also replied to with no communication back. No phone call, no email nothing. They send me an email with a 25 percent off coupon for my next visit WHY WOULD I WANT TO COME BACK!?

I have to split my review in two parts.

The first 2 days were great 5* even, check in was fast and friendly, all staff was very friendly.
It look, feel and show everything that you ask from a high End resort.
Beautiful resort, views and pools.
Then it came the last 4 days ..
Room wasn t clean for 4 days even after I requested twice, they offer a nice marketplace that is supposed to close at 10 pm but without any sign to advice( sorry pizza only until 7, oh and coffee only till 9)
Then one thing that s really noticed is as farther you get from Sunday worse the things get.. pools, food areas are not as clean staff gets more and more small all around.
Also everything that you can eat or drink on the resort is average quality but very pricey.
You get the pricing of a high end resort but not the service..
After 4days without cleaning they came and on that same afternoon we found a cockroach on the bathroom
unfortunately if I left after day 2 I would be happy with and definitely come back, right now I will explore other options when I m in the area.
It s a beautiful property tho. It s a shame it s not been properly managed.

It's a beautiful, peaceful resort. They have multiple food options on the resort so no real reason to leave. They have different activities on site as well, dolphin experience, snorkeling, boat cruise. Would definitely recommend it to anyone.

We had a wonderful time at the Hawks Cay Resort! We stayed in a villa in Sanctuary Village perfect for families with kids. Our favorite parts were definitely swimming with dolphins, nights by the fire, dinners at Angler and Ale, and family time spent at the many pools. We were also impressed by all the activities offered for kids! We are already looking forward to our next trip!

Gorgeous facility. Clean rooms. Will stay here again. Kim, at the front desk, was polite, helpful and had great dining suggestions. The food in the resort is terrible! $25 for buffet breakfast . I can get better hash brown and eggs at McDonalds. Lunch is over priced cafeteria food. The service and food at Angler & Ale (just a quick golf cart ride up the road) was excellent. Great place, but bring snacks and eat off the resort!

Overall our stay was amazing. There are 3 main reasons I m giving them 5 stars:

1. Table dedicated to the 13 service members who lost their lives in Afghanistan.
2. We had a problem with our room AC making a noise and not only did Anna, from the front desk, change our room, she upgraded us at no charge. We didn t request it. Great customer service Anna!
3. Gustavo from the bar is a sweetheart. He s a hard worker and he loves his job. Our last night there, we spent it talking to him and another guest at the bar and it was a very pleasant experience.

The resort itself is beautiful and maintained very well. The fact that they are honoring first responders and military is another huge plus! Thank you for that! Only negative feedback is that some lounge chair cushions need replacing. Having said that, highly recommend!

Entire facility and our accommodations were all excellent. Not sure if it makes a difference but we booked through Hawks Cay. We stayed with another family (5 kids and 4 adults) and the townhouse was in great shape, clean and very nice. Everything was within walking distance. Restaurants, pools, and services were all great. The fishing charter with Captain Dave was the best part of the trip. You get to keep the catch and The Angler and Ale will cook up the catch for you. There is a lot for the kids to do as well. Highly recommend.
