My family stayed at your property for 5 nights while I was at the University of Iowa Hospital. We pre-paid our stays on Hotels.com but were mistakenly charged for our stays by the property. I was in recovery for a few weeks and didn't notice the charges on our AMEX a little over a month after the stay. I spoke to two front desk people who directed me to Joe and even gave me his cell because he struggles at returning messages and email. Long story, short. Through multiple phone calls to Joe, no returned emails, and zero concern to resolve my I issue, I turned it over to AMEX who can handle it from.
I'll give them credit. At one point, they attempted to refund the two charges, but instead charged my card again. Good hotel, POOR management.
I worked for them. Horrible people, I would not recommend. They shorted my final paycheck and won t respond to me now. Also, be careful at their hotels, as they reached out to local hospitals offering to take positive Covid patients, while refusing to order proper PPE for their teams. They encourage hotels to cut corners while cleaning rooms, even during a pandemic. They also require salaried managers to work crazy insane hours. I can t stress enough how much I do not recommend Hawkeye Hotels.
I power washed the entire hotel and striped the parking lot! The job was to pay 4000$ after completing the job completely the Hotel manager has refused to pay. I now have the Attorney s involved! It has been two months and still no pay! The manager Laura Harshaw is a liar I would not do work for them. Instead of paying they would rather have a lean put on their building!
