I will give you a review and tips when it come to HW. This school is amazing but let me worn you, it is not for anyone. This might be stereotypical but this school is for students that are willing to study for hours on end (no exaggeration). There is a lot of stress on the children as well because everyone is the best of the best. And please, if you are a parent of a child at Harvard Westlake, please, I beg of you, please do not pressure them more than they already have 9 different classes, 9 difficult learning aspects are hard enough. And I know getting into Harvard Westlake has its bragging rights but be sure that its a school for you because there will be times where you want to fall back and cry (happened to my kids many times) but you have to have structure or it will be harder. The deans and staff are amazing! I love the teachers especially, Mrs. Eitner, Mr. Gaskin and Mr. Greenberg. Great!
Tips: 1) In the first year at HW, do your best but if you get grades you are not so happy with, let it go. The first year is when you must learn how to study or the rest of the years are going to be very hard.
2) Be organized!!!!!
3) Do not be shy to talk to teachers for help because that tells them you want to learn and also helps you as well.
4) USE YOUR FREE PERIODS WISELY! My children always tell me they would have bombed a test without their frees.
