I applied Hartz flea and tick treatment to my cat's back, according to the instructions on the package, and as soon as it came in contact with her skin, she yowled in pain and ran away from me. It took some time for me to calm her and clean the "medicine" off of her, and I am indeed fortunate that she suffered no long term effects. I was lucky because pets have actually died from these products, the ones Hartz makes and advertises, which can be disastrous for our pets!

We bought Hartz Bonanza rabbit treats for our bunny because the store was out of bunny food. This killed our bunny. He was healthy and happy until he ate these. I don t understand how a company can sell a product geared towards a specific type of animal and it not be good for them. My family is devastated over this loss. I will NEVER buy anything with the Hartz name on it again. Shame on you!!
The only reason I gave one star is because I can't give zero stars. This product is horrible, it made my dogs hair fall out!!!! In addition, it didn't work!!!
After trying every product in earth with my personal cats and Feral cats I feed; Hartz Delectables saved me from going wackyo. My cats turned down every brand of cat food after I spent hundreds of $$$$ to try to fred them. They all live and crave Hartz Lickable Delectables. Every flavor! The Bisque and Chowders too. They lick their bowls clean!!! They also love IAMS in the dry food brand. Believe me, I tried holistic, every brand, Friskies, Crave, Fancy Feast, Real Instinct, Rachel Ray's, Blue, and so many, many other brand food in the wet and dry; only to have them walk aeay and then, either donating the rest yo shelters or throwing it down the disposable. It made me suck to my stomach to see money go down the drain. But Hartz Lickables, Chowders and Bisque, they all go crazy for. I am not going to switch anymore. Ti be able yo please 8 cats at once, I think that's wirth keeping!! I hope that Hartz adds beef in their Chowder Bisque and Stews. My cats will go crazy for that flavor too, for sure! UNSAFE FOR ANIMALS! I used Hartz Ultra Guard Pro for cats on my HEALTHY, YOUNG (1.5 years old) male cat. Within seconds of hitting his body (between the shoulder blades at the base of the skull) he was jumping in pain, twitching and drooling uncontrollably. This product is NOT safe for animals and should be recalled and taken off the shelfs immediately. I am well aware some mild side effects may occur, but this was in no way, shape or form "mild." I had to wipe it off of him and while he calmed down, he is now lethargic and blinking non-stop. Shame on you, Hartz.
My cat will perish if I can not provide Delectables 'Squeeze Up' to her! These are the most wonderful treats I have found for my finicky cat. Thank you for making these :)
Today I bought this medicine to help are cat buddy with Flea s and Tick s. About 15 minutes later he started to act abnormal he was running and hissing at us and he was sneezing We immediately gave him a bath to get it off of him he immediately calmed down and was back to normal. And at this time he is back to how he was before giving this medicine to him. Please whatever you do. Do not give this or put it on your animals do not please don t. You will regret it. This product should not be sold in stores this company needs to be shut down. They don t deserve to run a company
DO NOT BUY THEIR PRODUCTS they are dangerous chemicals and may harm your animal or worse kill them. Please be careful and if you do use them rinse it off immediately with soap and water. My cat acted very strange I'm just fortunate I caught it early.
Do not buy from hartz whatsoever there dangerous products extremely harmful to pets! Spend the extra dollar and get a safer product! Most vets I've talked to recommend staying far away from this product!!
DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT. I used Hartz kitten and cat flee topical on my cat and she immediately started reacting as if her neck was burning. She was pacing through the house and hissing (this is not her normal behavior). I put her in the bath immediately and took her to the Emergency Vet. I was told BY THE VET that this product can make animals have seizures, convulsions, and worse. My cat had to be sedated and temporarily lost some function in her back legs. I ve heard MUCH WORSE happening to dogs and cats, such as the topical area leaving BURN marks and hair not growing back on the area of where the topical was applied.
Don't use the flea and tick treatment Ultraguard pro cat! My cat had a terrible reaction, I wish I would have read all the reviews I wouldn't put this garbage on my animal!
This product is not helping anyone this comapny all they are doing is turning a blind eye they know the product is killing animals and as usual they don't care they are killers in my book
Worst thing to use on your dogs! I think it made the fleas HEALTHYER! after using both the shampoo and trying again a week later with the once a month back ointment.
I wrote a letter to our senators about a decade ago requesting that these items be removed from store shelves and to enforce regulation of these products. After using the flea shampoo, I saw first hand how sick my cat got. This is probably the most heartless corporation I can think of. Items that expose pets to severe risk must be treated the same as items that are sold to humans! There is no excuse to expose the risk of your customer's pet to make a little money.
