Everyone here was so professional and helpful. From Natalie (the Admissions Coordinator, who explained every step of the process), to Allyson (the Counselor, who tackled the insurance company upon admission to make sure they approved the full treatment), to Mary (the Counselor, who made sure we understood how to keep from allowing the "Triggers" to prevent a relapse) - my daughter and family felt welcomed and informed! Now that she's moved on to the Sober Living Home, she's doing even better and feeling empowered about her recovery. She's prepared to move back into the world and take on life's challenges with the support system in place to help her take care of herself! This was the right place at the right time for me! I was ready and willing to work on my sobriety and after my last straw I found this amazing place! I've been to treatment before but not a place that fit the bill like this place. They don't keep you isolated from the outside world as many places do. They have a comfortable, very nice, clean facility with awesome food. The meetings were all very productive and helpful. This is a perfect place for anyone suffering from an addiction that wants to get sober. I highly recommend attending aftercare or AA for posttreatment. I would like to thank everyone at Harris House for my time spent there!

I left Harris House on Friday a completely different person from when I called Tim 2 weeks prior. The facility is unbelievable. From the food, flexibility, interaction with counselors, and just being treated like a human being and not a patient is, in my opinion, very lucrative to someone like myself who fought hard to stay. My counselor Dexter and Tim are a huge part of why I stayed and allowed myself to be uncomfortable. Thank you Harris House for going above and beyond. I am extremely grateful for everything! If you are reading this and thinking about going to treatment. GO!!!! Your life will change if you want it to!
I have never had a longer period of sobriety since I was 15 years old after leaving here. Counselors and staff are caring and actually there to meet your needs as a client. This is a relaxed environment with excellent food and accomodations, not to mention you can keep your cell phone and computer with you to continue living your life while still getting the help you are there for in the first place and maintain your sense of self. I have heard horror stories about centerpointe and personally experienced the lack of humanity shown towards the clients at the aviary. If you want to change your life of addiction while maintaining your humanity, this is where you need to go to seek help for your alcoholism or drug addiction. Call them and talk to Wes or Jonathan and see the better path of life that they and their staff can provide for you. You will come out with a different perspective on life than the one you suffered through with your substance. You are treated like a human being here, as any place offering recovery should do. This is the only one that helped me after years of drinking. (The Aviary still tries to send me bills for the "care" they provided which I am considering turning into a lawsuit for malpractice and/or neglect of patient's needs. I wasn't the only one who came in with medications that were "destroyed" upon trying to get them back when leaving there.)
I ve waited a while to post my review because I wanted to make sure I was on track for a while before I share my experience. I m sober 220 days today and I really can t tell you how much Harris House changed my life. The counselors, the classes and the facility were all amazing. Special shout out to my counselors Liz and Frank, they are awesome! Also, I have to give props to Keisha-her classes are uplifting and meaningful. I m in a much better place in life from where I was 8 months ago. I have a new job, new house, new hobbies and getting a lot of exercise. I know if I had not been through such a great program I would not be writing this today. You have to put the work in and it s not easy but you will be given the tools needed to change your life for the better. The classes totally changed my whole mindset.
Been clean and sober for 1 year thanks to Harris House. I've been to every rehab in Missouri and some in Florida and California and this is by far the best and they have the best food. Thank you guys so much. I finally got my kids back in my life and me and my wife were able to fix our marriage. About to buy a house.
