these people are awful! I signed up for the payment plan and that would have be 140$ a month. They then 5 days later wiped my account out for the whole amount of 5 grand! I had to call my bank to get my money back. Don't let these people scam you. I call their office and the lady was very rude and told me there is nothing she can do.

They leave recorded messages with no way of knowing who they are trying to contact. My phone number previously belonged to a person experiencing financial difficulty. When trying to contact them I got nowhere. One post alluded to debt collectors working old paper. I'm not an attorney but it is my understanding that if you have an unpaid debt that is over seven years old, and you've not paid anything on it during that time, they can call and try to collect but they cannot take legal action to collect the debt unless you start paying on that old debt. Get your own legal advice or do your own research.

I noticed that Harris & Harris had left a derogatory mark on my credit report so I gave them a called the very next day, they were extremely helpful to finding out why it was there, as unreal as it sounds they helped me find someone who stole my identity which led to this derogatory mark. Judging by other reviews I assume I got pretty lucky with my customer service.

If I could give them zero stars that would still be too much! This place is terrible! I was suppose to be on a payment plan and can not get monthly statements. I received a mailing in Dec 2020 that my debt was sent to them. I filed a BBB complaint and it was suppose to be resolved and should receive monthly statements .I called today to make a payment today and they requested the full amount due as a payment. Requested a receipt/statement be mailed and was told to call back in 30 days to request one .unbelievable and unacceptable service!!

I wish I could give this place zero stars for their poor taste of employees. I spoke with two representatives who were disrespectful and rude. Then finally I got a representative that was sweet and gave me the information that I needed. I hope the company reads these reviews so that way you can train your employees better customer service skills. You re calling people and no one knows what you re calling about. So tell your employees to have a little bit more sympathy when
speaking on the phone.

I recieved a collection notice from this agency and their bills do little to lend their firm credibility. A large portion of one settlement offer claimed they would settle with part of our tax return while another mentions using a stimulus check to pay them off. I honestly thought they were a fraudulent organization until I contacted the company they're working for and confirmed they are one of their legitimate collections agencies. If they're reading this I hope they can improve their customer service and look less like a bunch of scam artists.

I had a medical bill slip past me and it hit me at the worst time halfway through a mortgage application. I called and explained and offered to pay in full and only requested a letter stating the matter was settled. (Making sure I was extremely polite) Woman on the phone was still extremely short and rude and kept interrupting me to get my card info and refused to send a letter. Ended up calling the hospital, paying them directly, and successfully disputing the collection. I m so glad they got $0 from the encounter.

After a case of identity theft we were accidently sent to collections. We had sent in the police report and documentation and in error the company sent us to collections. I spoke very briefly to Renee Chavez who may be the least helpful person on the planet. He cut me off constantly, never let me explain anything, refused to take the documentation that would settle this. I understand there is a job to do but this is a part of that job. I've dealt with collections before as a medical billing specialist and this person was the opposite of helpful, I wouldn't even make a payment to this man if we owed money, we'd ask to speak to someone else. So for companies out there looking for a collections specialist I'd like to suggest American Credit Systems. Mitch and Jim are far better at this.

They gave me a reference number but my zip code doesn t work! It s literally the zip code you mailed this letter to! How am I supposed to pay? I can t pay online, or over the phone. There is no option for You Made A Mistake!! Can I get some assistance??
