We are on hold when calling them for long...period of time. Their phone call back gose straight to my voice mail everytime. They need to fix this ongoing problem!

One the worst government organization in my opinion. Nothing short of thieves in this building. That's how most of the public feels. Inefficent as they make everyone wait at least an hour when we come on time for an appointment. What business can operates like this? Their slogan is we value our community which is a joke. HCAD please go look up the meaning of value or see a company that exemplifies this. It's one thing to pick a slogan and another actually execute by it. The process is a joke. The informal hearing guys have very little they can do. At appraisal review board and the HCAD representative clearing colluding. Complete waste of time. City attorney falsified information which he randomly made up without any proof and the unbiased pannel believed him and asked me to disprove him with documentation on the spot. Got nothing but horrible things to say about HCAD. This process needs a complete overhaul and they need some sort of accountability to the general public whom they are suppose to be working for in the first place.

This Appraisal Distict is the best appraisal distict that I ever been and I've been on different one so many times for my work place and another house that I have. They are so friendly, nice and everything is so organized.
Place is so clean and waiting area is very nice. Hope that I get reduce on my Tax.

I ve had good luck with HCAD over the phone before, but came in today as the phone service wasn t working for me. I had a very short wait, and spoke to a helpful rep who was quickly able to answer my questions. They had good social distancing practices with temp checks, and there were people telling you at each step where to go. Office was easy to access off 290 with plenty of parking

Horrible and absolutely clueless, 40 minutes on hold and no one is there to answer or assist. They send the wrong bill every year and expect us just to send a check!

If I could give a negative rating I would. Still not have received my property tax bill and it is way overdue. No accountability. No professionalism.

Worthless!! They don't look at actual HCAD sales data, but rather made up numbers. Review panel is nothing more than a screen for HCAD to overinflate property values and realize more $$ in taxes.

Called 5 times today and each time heard a connection, background noise and then a disconnect. Answer the phone please if you are getting paid to do a job.

Efficiently run when I went in for my informal hearing. We actually started before my appointment time. The appraiser I met with (Eva Maldonado) was friendly, transparent, and generous with her time. A positive experience overall.

Today is April 2, 2021. I tried to call their office and they have an automated system that tells you they will be closed Thursday, December 24 and 25th in recognition of the Christmas holiday and will be open on December 28. After the message repeat itself three times it hangs up on you. How do I talk to someone to verify information has been received?
