A must-see even for those who are not fans of automobiles, this museum shows the sequence of technological innovation of the automobile since the beginning, visiting it is even possible to understand the development of the American industry as a whole, the improvement of the means of production and the automobile market. Being in Reno, be sure to visit.

My husband and I loved the museum. It is huge! It is divided into 4 different time frames and they are full of phenomenal, unique, beautiful and some one of a kind vehicles. The 1960s to current I found to be the least wow-worthy and had a lot fewer vehicles but I had been walking for a few hours by that time and I was ready to be done. Otherwise sprinkled into the exhibits were vintage clothing from the same eras S the vehicles, including dresses, purses, suits and jewelry. It was a wonderful trip through history and every car lover will be in heaven when you arrive. Cant wait to take the kids and friends!

A fun place to see some old amazing cars. Had way more early 1900s cars than I anticipated. The tour went at a pretty decent pace but it's hard to cram in so much history in just over an hour. Some great classics, and makes you feel like you were sent back in time... Especially in the gold Delorean!

Fascinating collection of very old timey cars (1880s) all the way up to cars from maybe the late 60s. There were also some unique racing cars and one-offs that were interesting to look at and read about. I would highly recommend picking up the free audio tour at the front desk, a lot of visitors were not doing this and I think they were missing out as a result. It's really interesting to see the progression of the common car across a long time, and the different ideas that different car makers had. I am a car enthusiast so I took my time but I would allocate no less than 2 to 3 hours to really absorb everything and visit all four galleries in the museum. My only critique is that I wish they had extended the progression of vehicles through the current-day, all the way through to some of the high-end exotics on the roads today to see the full timeline of the automobile.

Don't bother showing up at 5:00pm even though closing time is 5:30pm. Doors are locked, and the volunteer staff has no interest in letting anyone in after 5:00pm.

Shame on them for not having visiting hours that locals can attend the museum after work.

A truly fantastic collection of classic vehicles. Catalogues the history of cars from the early days through about the 1970s. 4 very large galleries, mostly focused on vintage, unique, and rare vehicles. The crown jewel of the collection in my opinion would be the Mercedes 500K or the Bugatti. Absolutely worth a trip if you're into cars!

Similar exhibitions as in a world's fare. More than just an award winning museum. Frank Sinatra and other infamous vehicles on display. Impeccable research and insight to early automobiles and manufacturers. A bygone era not to be missed. They provide excellent tours, winding through a remake of vintage streets, with stunning cars placed throughout.

A truly awesome array of great automobiles, including some that are "1 of 1"...the ONLY vehicle of its kind on the planet. Vehicles from the 1800s all the way to the 40s/50s SUPER well represented. The 4th gallery (of 4) had only handful of cars from the 50s/60s so that was surprising. The various street scenes representing different eras were great fun and very well done. You can even take a picture in an old car wearing period correct clothing... Cool! The amazing variety of designs, propulsion systems, and evolving car tech was just awesome to see. Cords, Duesys, Franklins, Fords, race cars, expsrimentals, famous owners and too many more to list... I loved this place. Has to be one of the top auto museums in the US. If you like cars at all, a must see!

Cars are cool. And the RAV4 EV might be my personal favorite in the collection.

I'm too young to have any sort of sentimental attachment to the vast majority of the cars there, which is a real shame.

This place is REALLY cool and REALLY well done. Kids under 5 are free, Seniors are $10, Adults are $12 and Kids were a different price. Well worth the money. They have a neat little gift shop and a huge inventory of cars and attention to detail. My 3 year old even enjoyed wandering through to check out the cars too.

Huge bonus that even during COVID they had strollers to borrow for the tour. It took close to 2 hours and I was happy to not have to carry my daughter for the second half.

They do also have an audio tour for guests. I highly recommend checking this place out.

They have a section with cars from the 50s that feels like you're back in time walking down the street in the 50s. They have tours where they tell you all about the cars and they don't care if you take pictures with them. Awesome place!

This place is such a treasure. Was totally not expecting such an extensive collection. We aren t big car people but still really appreciated the cars and the enthusiasm that the people that work there share. The workers are SO friendly. The man at the front desk was so passionate about the cars and so proud of the museum and kept telling us how happy he was that we were there. Prices maybe a little high ($12 for adults, $6 for children) but they keep all of the cars running for special events and constantly need to perform maintenance on them. Located centrally in Reno, do not miss it!

This museum is a national treasure, showing immaculate cars predominately from the turn of the century through the 1930s. The museum is divided up into thematic galleries that actually make you feel like you've stepped back in time. Each of the cars has a story to tell, and the story is clearly told on signage in front of each vehicle. The cars previously owned by Hollywood legends, makes the tour even more compelling.

We went to their Halloween trick-or-treating event with our two kids. We had a really good time and the kids enjoyed getting candy and playing the games. I know I enjoyed seeing all the cars. I think the only negative it was a bit warm in the building.

Its like a trip back into time. Be prepared to spend a few hours to really take it all in. There is guided tours or you can wander at your own pace. You can use these electronic guides(no charge)for the cars that have additional info on that car. There is also a cool movie they show that is also included with ticket price. If youre a gear head or just appreciate the cars of years past then youll really enjoy the Auto Museum.

I enjoyed in there! I saw many classic cars and rare things. CORVETTE is very cool! I had a great time!

Many cars are displayed, from quite old cars to a bit new cars. I think that it is a museum which can be enjoyed considerably for car lovers. Also, sports cars and race cars are on exhibition. It was quite enjoyable!
